Esta versión intermedia se adelante a la planificación del lanzamiento de AbsysNet 2.3, la cual está prevista para finales de año / principios del 2021. La función más destacada de AbsysNet 2.2.5 es que permitirá a las bibliotecas tratar de forma específica la cuarentena de los ejemplares.

Topics covered in the webinar series are short, helpful sessions of about 45 minutes for Sierra and Polaris customers, as well as broader topics applicable to all customers such as Product and Support updates.

(EBSCO Information Services) EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) is announcing the release of Harvard Business Publishing (HBP) Resources for Business Studies, which includes the new Harvard Business Publishing Student Success Package. The resources provide unique content to support business students to prepare them for the business world and success in their future careers. Additional resources from HBP may be bundled with the HBP Student Success Package to create a complete suite of resources for business students.

(Equinox) Equinox Open Library Initiative announces the development of Curbside Pickup for libraries using Evergreen ILS. The latest feature, expected to be available in June, was designed by Equinox and supported by the Pennsylvania Integrated Library System (PaILS), the non-profit which oversees SPARK, an Evergreen consortium in the state of Pennsylvania.

(MOBIUS) MOBIUS announced that the Transylvania County Library successfully migrated and went live as a member of the NC Cardinal Consortium, which utilizes the Evergreen ILS, on May 21, 2020.

(Auto-Graphics, Inc.) Agent Information Software announced that on May 5, 2020, its Board of Directors approved a cash dividend to its shareholders. A dividend of $0.03 per common share will be paid on June 12, 2020, to all shareholders of record as of the close of business on May 26, 2020. Auto-Graphics continues to see growth with their resource sharing product SHAREit, along with VERSO and MONTAGE bringing more customers to the company.

(Patron Point) Patron Point announced that the Emma S. Clark Memorial Library, Setauket, NY, has selected its patron relationship management system to help drive its patron engagement and web marketing efforts. Of particular interest to the Library was utilizing Patron Point to increase awareness of Library offerings and drive Library usage as well as improve retention rate of existing cardholders.

(Biblionix) Biblionix today announced the completion of its Mobile Checkout capability for the Apollo® ILS/LSP. This brings the number of closure and partial-closure tools that are now available to all Apollo customers to eighteen. All are free of charge.

(Auto-Graphics, Inc.) Auto-Graphic announced their digital collection management solution, MONTAGE, has been purchased by the New Mexico State Library. The addition of this software to their resources will improve the state’s efforts to capture, harvest, and provide public access to digital state government publications. The Montage solution will allow the government documents staff at the State Library to process digital state government information in a more efficient and thus productive method. The new public interface will also allow visitors to the digital collections site an easier and more intuitive way to search and discover New Mexico state government publications. Further, Montage will provide improved “scan to patron” workflow allowing the New Mexico State Library to expand their digital government information holdings over the next year.

(BARATZ) Las bibliotecas ya pueden tratar de forma específica la cuarentena de los ejemplares con la versión AbsysNet 2.2.5. Esta versión intermedia cuenta con una nueva situación del ejemplar, Q-Cuarentena, que implica que está «temporalmente fuera de préstamo». La funcionalidad Q-Cuarentena se activa automáticamente en las devoluciones y se desactiva automáticamente cuando pasan los días definidos en la fecha de fin. La versión 2.2.5 de AbsysNet ya ha sido compilada y testeada, y está disponible para todas las plataformas soportadas por la versión 2.2. Múltiples bibliotecas y redes de bibliotecas ya la han implementado y comienzan a disfrutar de su funcionalidad.

(Association of American Publishers) Member companies of the Association of American Publishers (AAP) filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against Internet Archive (“IA”) in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. The suit asks the Court to enjoin IA’s mass scanning, public display, and distribution of entire literary works, which it offers to the public at large through global-facing businesses coined “Open Library” and “National Emergency Library,” accessible at both and IA has brazenly reproduced some 1.3 million bootleg scans of print books, including recent works, commercial fiction and non-fiction, thrillers, and children’s books.
