(Ex Libris) Ex Libris announced that the University of Michigan Library has selected the Ex Libris Alma library services platform and Ex Libris Primo discovery and delivery solution to provide innovative services to the school’s diverse constituents. The University of Michigan Library is one of the largest research libraries in the United States, with almost 13 million volumes, 137,000 current serials, and more than 4.2 million annual visits. This scale and the library’s rapid growth rate were key business drivers for the strategic move to modern, cloud-based computing standards and capabilities, including multitenant software as a service (SaaS), and the selection of the Alma platform. Michigan has been a power user of the Ex Libris Aleph® library management system for more than 15 years.

(Ex Libris) Ex Libris, a ProQuest Company, gibt hiermit bekannt, dass das Hochschulbibliothekszentrum des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen (hbz) im Namen des nordrhein-westfälischen Verbundes den Vertrag mit Ex Libris über die Einführung der Bibliotheksdienstplattform Alma bei den 43 Mitgliedsinstitutionen des Verbundes unterzeichnet hat. Die Alma-Plattform wird acht verschiedene Systeme ersetzen, die derzeit im Einsatz sind.

(EBSCO Information Services) Submissions are now being accepted for the fourth annual SEE-IT Award. SEE-IT stands for Stories Engagingly Expressed-Illustratively Told. The SEE-IT Award is an annual book award given by EBSCO Information Services and the Graphic Novel Committee of the Children’s Book Council to honor the outstanding achievements of authors and illustrators in youth graphic novels. Publishers are encouraged to submit titles for award consideration by February 15, 2020.

Projektet foreslås videreført efter KOMBITs almindelige projektmodel, da dette vil være en forudsætning for at kunne etablere et fælles governance-setup for FBS og biblioteksinfrastrukturen i forbindelse med KOMBITs overtagelse af bestillerfunktionen til DBC.
