(Soutron Global) Soutron are delighted to announce authorised business partner in Ethiopia, MAKE Enterprise, have been for the last two years working towards a new solution for the National Archives and Library Agency of Ethiopia.After a thorough tender process, the software provided by Soutron was chosen to help the National Archives and Library Agency of Ethiopia manage their extensive collections, archives and records.

(Tech Logic) Tech Logic has appointed Jeff McDaniel as the Director of Sales and Business Development.

(Equinox) Equinox is pleased to announce the successful migration of the Eastern Cluster of Lutheran Seminaries to Koha, the first open source Integrated Library System to be used worldwide. Their migration involved 318,801 bibliographic records and 2,929 patrons at the university. Equinox provided authority control and data services in addition to Koha support, hosting, and implementation. Remote training for Koha was also provided as part of the migration by Equinox.

(Library and Archives Canada) The Canadian Association of Research Libraries and Library and Archives Canada (LAC) have joined forces to improve preservation of Canadian publications in Canadian libraries. CARL member libraries and others are committed to ensuring proper stewardship of our Canadian published heritage, in both print and digital forms. With space and resources at a premium, collective efforts to manage print publications are becoming increasingly necessary. In order to study the current situation and recommend future action, CARL and LAC have established a working group to design and implement a national strategy for collective print preservation and access for Canadian publications, building on some very successful regional initiatives. Digitization will be relevant as it impacts print retention requirements and the provision of access. To ensure the national strategy draws upon and complements similar efforts in other countries, the working group will also liaise and collaborate with international print preservation initiatives.

(Recorded Books) Recorded Books, an RBmedia company, announced the availability of unlimited access newspapers in its RBdigital app and platform. In partnership with PressReader, RBdigital provides libraries unlimited access to more than 2,500 of the world’s leading newspapers, including the Boston Herald, Chicago Tribune, Denver Post, Los Angeles Times, Miami Herald, New York Post, and Philadelphia Inquirer.

(ByWater Solutions) ByWater Solutions announced that the Fresno County Public Law Library, Fresno California is now live! ByWater completed the transition of the libraries' 39,000 plus holdings from EOS ILS and is providing ongoing support services to the library.

(EBSCO Information Services) EBSCO Information Services has partnered with MCN Healthcare to seamlessly integrate skills and procedures content from Dynamic Health into the MCN platform. Dynamic Health is EBSCO's evidence-based resource designed to help nurses and allied health professionals master critical skills. MCN provides custom policy content, document management software and compliance expertise to healthcare organizations.

(Ex Libris) Ex Libris announcef that the Bukkyo University library has selected the Ex Libris Alma library services platform. It will be used in conjunction with the Ex Libris Summon discovery service, which the university implemented in 2011.

(Overdrive) Readers nationwide can now borrow and discuss the first ebook selection of the Libraries Transform Book Pick, a new digital reading program from the American Library Association and Rakuten OverDrive. From Oct. 7-21, 2019, book lovers across the U.S. can borrow an ebook copy of the inventive and riveting saga “After the Flood” by Kassandra Montag at their public libraries without waitlists or holds. Readers will only need a library card and the award-winning Libby app to download and read the ebook, then discuss via social media.

(Eastern Academic Scholars Trust) The Eastern Academic Scholars’ Trust (EAST) is pleased to announce that six of the Florida State University System libraries, plus their shared repository collection, are joining the EAST shared print program. The libraries will join Florida State University, which has been an EAST member since 2016.

(EBSCO Information Services) The Missouri State University Libraries, in partnership with EBSCO Information Services, one of the leading providers of research databases, e-journals, e-books, and discovery services to libraries, has undertaken a major project to upgrade its fundamental information systems. The foundation of this project will be a new open-source software platform called FOLIO. Because the MSU Libraries will be one of the first libraries in the world to fully implement FOLIO, the project is being called First FOLIO at Missouri State.
