Springer Nature. Springer Nature announces gold open access options for Nature journals from January 2021. Springer Nature announced that German authors would be able to publish their primary research open access in Nature and the Nature research journals, thanks to a ground-breaking agreement with the Max Planck Digital Library. Whilst highly effective in transitioning articles to open access, transformative agreements like this can be complicated and take time to put in place.
