(EBSCO Information Services) EBSCO Information Services releases Hispanic American Periodicals Index (HAPI), a bibliographic database providing complete citations to the contents of scholarly journals related to Latin America and the Caribbean published around the world since the late 1960s. Hispanic American Periodicals Index, produced by the Latin American Institute at the University of California, Los Angeles, is now available for annual subscription through EBSCO.
(Patron Point) Patron Point announced that the Whatcom County Library System of Bellingham, WA has selected the Company’s patron relationship management system to help drive its marketing efforts. One of the primary interests of the Library was Patron Point’s ability to offer audience-specific newsletter design and content.

(ODILO) ODILO has been awarded the international tender to become a provider of e-lending services to the national library of the Netherlands, which can be accessed by over 17 million Dutch people. ODILO will provide the new ODILO 3.0 service to the national library of the Netherlands; the technology recently launched by the Spanish company uses Artificial Intelligence to provide optimized access to digital library resources.
(Ex Libris) Ex Libris, a ProQuest company, has completed its acquisition of Innovative, a leading provider of integrated library systems for public, academic, and specialist libraries. Innovative is now a business unit within Ex Libris.
(EBSCO Information Services) EBSCO Information Services announced a new integration with Google for Education. As a Google for Education Partner, EBSCO will be able to provide universities, schools and public libraries using G Suite for Education with innovative resources to engage students in learning, both inside and outside the classroom.
(Cambridge University Press) Cambridge University Press has reached a transformative Open Access agreement with the Spanish National Research Council (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, CSIC). The three-year ‘read and publish’ deal is the first such agreement between a university press and Spanish research institutions, and the first that Cambridge University Press has signed in southern Europe.

(Overdrive) Rakuten OverDrive announced today that 73 public library systems from the US, Canada, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand each enabled readers to borrow over 1 million ebooks and audiobooks from their catalogs in 2019. This represents the most systems ever to reach this milestone led by Toronto Public Library serving over 6 million titles for the year. Contributing factors to these records include online marketing, award-winning reading apps, strong growth for audiobooks and a 27% increase in circulation of children’s and young adult digital book titles.
