(EBSCO Information Services) The University of Alabama has agreed to be an EBSCO FOLIO Beta Partner. University librarians and developers and EBSCO Information Services will partner together to establish FOLIO hosting and services in The University of Alabama Libraries, while also optimizing the FOLIO platform for future colleges and universities looking to adopt an open source library services platform.

(Ex Libris) Ex Libris announced that the University of Alabama at Birmingham has selected the Ex Libris campusM Enterprise platform to provide UAB students, faculty, and staff with easy access to key systems, such as the university’s Banner ERP solution, library services, and class schedules. By leveraging the university’s authentication services, the campusM app will deliver an experience personalized for each user, displaying relevant services and information on any device.

(Ex Libris) Ex Libris announced that the University of Alabama at Birmingham has decided to adopt the Ex Libris Alma library management service, Primo discovery and delivery solution, and Rosetta digital asset management and preservation solution. The university libraries will be migrating from various systems, including the SirsiDynix Symphony integrated library system and the Ex Libris Voyager ILS

(University of Alabama) The University of Alabama Libraries has completed a grant project which demonstrates a model of low-cost digitization and web delivery of manuscript materials. Funded by the National Archives and Records Administration National Historical Publications and Records Commission, the project digitized a large and nationally important manuscript collection related to the emancipation of slaves: the Septimus D. Cabaniss Papers.
