After careful deliberation, they have chosen to migrate their integrated library system (ILS) to SirsiDynix’s Symphony ILS and the next-generation SaaS-hosted Library Services Platform, BLUEcloud.

( Palos Verdes Library District working with the development team at, a website development initiative offered by CraftySpace CMS, announces the launch of SOPAC (social online catalog) integrated into a new Drupal version 6 website. This launch is one of the first public library adoptions of SOPAC outside of Darien Library in CT, where John Blyberg first developed this open source technology.

( The library website development team at is currently integrating Social OPAC functionality with the Palos Verdes Library District's website. YourLibrarySite is using John Blyberg's SOPAC2 Drupal module to integrate PVLD's ILS with their website. This integration empowers library patrons to review, tag and rate biblio records without leaving PVLD's website, and to view the content created by other patrons.
