(Ex Libris) Ex Libris anunció que la U.S. National Library of Medicine (Biblioteca Nacional de Medicina - NLM) ha decidido adoptar la solución de descubrimiento Primo de Ex Libris. Un grupo de trabajo de la NLM evaluó diversas opciones y finalmente seleccionó Primo, principalmente debido a su avanzada tecnología, a su extenso plan de desarrollo, y a su activa comunidad de clientes. Primo reemplazará el sistema WebVoyage Classic, también de Ex Libris, conocido como LocatorPlus, para la búsqueda dentro de las colecciones de la Biblioteca.

(Ex Libris) Ex Libris announced that the U.S. National Library of Medicine has decided to adopt the Ex Libris Primo discovery and delivery solution. An NLM working group evaluated a number of options and ultimately selected Primo, primarily because of its advanced technology, extensive road map, and active customer communities. The Primo solution will replace Ex Libris WebVoyage Classic, known as LocatorPlus, which enables NLM users to search the Library’s collections.

(Endeavor Information Systems, Inc.) Endeavor Information Systems announced today that the ENCompass digital management system has been purchased by and delivered to a total of 17 institutions. Only commercially released in March 2001, ENCompass is on a rapid development track and will have its third release, version 2.0, available in early 2002.

(The Library Corporation) The National Library of Medicine, the world’s largest medical library, announced it has contracted for the installation of a customized version of The Library Corporation’s Library.Request to provide Interlibrary Loan Management via ISO 10160/10161 Version 2 Protocol. This installation will enable ISO 10160/61 Protocol interface with more than 3,000 U.S and Canadian medical libraries.
