OCLC McGill University upgrades fully to OCLC WorldShare Management Services. McGill University, one of Canadaís top ranked research-intensive institutions, will be upgrading its knowledge management infrastructure and fully integrating OCLC WorldShare Management Services as its cloud-based library services platform. Kirtas Technologies. McGill University Library becomes first Canadian content provider to participate in Digitize on Demand and McGill University Library announced a partnership with Kirtas Technologies and its Canadian partner Ristech, which will allow students, faculty and the general public to request to have books digitized and made available through the new Digitize on Demand program. The announcement will be made publicly at the Canadian Library Associationís 2009 National Conference and Trade Show being held in Montreal May 29 to June 1. [Full Announcement].

Ex Libris McGill University Library to become showcase installation for Sun Ray thin client technology. Ex Libris and SUN Microsystems have agreed with McGill University to use their library as a showcase installation for the new Sun Ray thin client devices. The devices will be used in conjunction with the ALEPH 500 system installed at McGill. [Full Announcement].

Ex Libris McGill University goes live on ALEPH 500. Ex Libris announced that McGill University went live with their new ALEPH 500 system on Monday, May 1st. All of the ALEPH 500 modules are fully operational at this point and the NOTIS system being replaced is no longer in day to-day production use. [Full Announcement].
