(California Community Colleges) After an 8-year effort by the Council of Chief Librarians, California Community Colleges to obtain funding, the California Community Colleges system is using a $6 million dollar one-time state grant to implement a cloud-based, systemwide Library Services Platform using Ex Libris Alma and Primo software solutions that will more effectively connect all students with the most useful, high quality resources in each library’s collection as well as those throughout the system. The LSP will replace more than 11 legacy library systems currently used by participating community college libraries in the state.

(California Community Colleges) The California Community Colleges launched a cloud-based, system-wide Library Services Platform (LSP) that will more effectively connect all students with the most useful, high quality resources in a single collection. The platform will replace the various library systems currently used by participating community colleges in the state. Through the Library Services Platform, students will have access to technology that is not currently available across the community college system, with improved search capabilities, check-outs, overdue book issues, interlibrary loans, and reserves, all available in a modern, mobile-friendly environment.
