Zepheira. Zepheira now working with Library of Michigan to Transform, publish Michigan eLibrary MeLCat catalog to linked data on the Web. Zepheira announces a partnership with the Library of Michigan and Midwest Collaborative for Library Services to transform the Michigan eLibrary catalog’s bibliographic data into Linked Data for broader incorporation into the Web. Michigan is the first State library to bring a large scale set of library catalog data to the Web with Linked Data technologies developed by Zepheira, namely the Library.Link Network. Zepheira. Qatar National Library signs with Zepheira to bring collections to the web. Qatar National Library has signed with Zepheira to transform its collection catalog into linked data format and share it broadly on the Web. QNL is the first library in the Middle East and North Africa region to bring its collections to the Web with Linked Data technologies developed by Zepheira. [Full Announcement].

Zepheira. Barrington Area Library Moving to Linked Data With Zepheira. Zepheira announced having transformed and published the catalog of Barrington Area Library, in Barrington, Illinois. Barrington Area Library is the first in Illinois to work with Zepheira to convert its MARC Catalog to Linked Data, and publish those resources to the Web. Barrington is the largest geographic library district in the state of Illinois, covering 72 square miles. Many potential library users live at quite a distance from either the main library or branch, and taking full advantage of all available technologies is key to reaching potential patrons while also supporting existing customers. The library’s collections include thousands of downloadable e-books and audiobooks, as well as streaming movies – library materials customers can borrow without needing to visit in person. Zepheira. Zepheira and Innovative Announce Partnership in Delivering Linked Data Services to Libraries. Nearly a year after welcoming Innovative Interfaces to the Libhub Initiative, Zepheira announced a new joint partnership at the Innovative Users Group Conference (IUG 2016) in San Francisco, which promises to streamline the adoption of Linked Data in Innovative's Library Customers. Zepheira. Boston University Libraries choose Zepheira to convert catalog to linked data, opening it to the web. Zepheira has signed Boston University to its Early Adopter for Academic Libraries Linked Data service. BU is now working with Zepheira to convert its MARC catalog of over 3,000,000 records into Linked Data and publish it to the Web to increase the visibility of the library’s resources. Zepheira. University of Manitoba chooses Zepheira to convert catalogue, collections to linked data. Zepheira has signed the University of Manitoba to its Early Adopter for Academic Libraries Linked Data service. The University is now working with Zepheira to convert its MARC catalogue into linked data and publish it to the Web to increase the visibility of the library’s resources. [Full Announcement].

Zepheira. Zepheira upgrades Open Source Linked Data Editing Toolkit and Training Software. Zepheira has successfully relaunched its Open Source Linked Data transformation and editing tools. Zepheira. Zepheira signs four new public libraries in Experimenter Program. Following the success of its Early Adopter program with 12 participating public libraries in the US and Canada, Zepheira is pleased to announce the first four participants in its Experimenter Program. This program builds awareness of the power of Linked Data through education and training, provides an assessment of the institution’s MARC data, and develops a pilot to experiment with publishing Linked Data to the Web. Zepheira. Zepheira launches Linked Data Readiness Assessment product for libraries. Zepheira, the industry leader in the creation of linked data vocabularies for addressing the Web visibility of library and memory organizations, is launching a new Linked Data Readiness Assessment (RA) Product. RA allows libraries and memory organizations to determine the state of their current collections, systems, and staffing to determine what should be done to make them more visible to their communities – patrons or customers of the library who access information via Web search engines or students and faculty who access information via internal environments such as on-campus systems. Zepheira. National Library of Medicine selects Zepheira to develop linked data architecture. The National Library of Medicine has selected Zepheira to provide combined expertise and in Library Linked Data and Health Care Informatics in a project to advance the Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) Linked Data Architecture. Zepheira will support effective publishing of the MeSH vocabulary on the web. NLM awarded Zepheira the contract through a competitive bidding process. [Full Announcement].

Zepheira. Zepheira introduces Libhub Initiative focused on increasing Web visibility of libraries. As a founding sponsor, Zepheira’s introduction of the Libhub Initiative creates an industry-wide focus on the collective visibility of libraries and their resources on the Web. Libraries and memory organizations have rich content and resources that the Web can not see or use. The Libhub Initiative aims to find common ground for libraries, providers, and partners to publish and use data with non-proprietary, web standards. Libraries can then communicate in a way Web applications understand and Web users can see through the use of enabling technology like Linked Data and shared vocabularies such as schema.org and BIBFRAME. The Libhub Initiative uniquely prioritizes the linking of these newly exposed library resources to each other and to other resources across the Web, a critical requirement of increased Web visibility. Zepheira. National Library Board, Singapore Selects Zepheira to Perform Linked Data Modeling and Conversion. The National Library Board, Singapore s responsible for a great deal of information valuable to the Singapore public in the form of traditional library resources including physical and digital books and serial publications. In 2014 NLB has launched a project to make available much of the information cataloguing and characterizing these materials as Linked Data suitable for the Web. Doing so will make it easier for patrons to discover relevant materials and information through Web searches, social media, mobile applications and other developments which take advantage of modern Web technology.
