(Turnitin) Turnitin announced two executive appointments to strengthen Turnitin's leadership team as it widens its product offering and expands globally. Marc Daubach, formerly corporate vice president and general manager of Europe for Ex Libris Group, is joining Turnitin as corporate vice president of international. Ron Park, an experienced Silicon Valley technology executive, will serve as chief technology officer and senior vice president of engineering and operations.

(Turnitin) Turnitin, a leading provider of feedback, grading, and plagiarism checking solutions, announced today the general availability of Authorship Investigate, the first solution that supports higher education administrators in addressing contract cheating. Authorship Investigate uses forensic linguistic analysis and Natural Language Processing to help investigators efficiently compare differences in written work and gather the evidence needed to investigate potential cases of contract cheating.

Duncan, United States Secretary of Education from 2009 through December 2015, is currently the managing partner of education group Emerson Collective. Mr. Duncan brings considerable experience in large scale deployment and adoption of educational technology in K-12 and higher education

(Turnitin) Turnitin and W. W. Norton & Company have signed an agreement to supply academic textbook content that has been published by W. W. Norton & Company to the Turnitin database. Turnitin writing resources are used by educators in K-12 and higher education to support writing instruction, receive and grade student papers, and check for original content.

VeriCite has established itself as a leader in providing originality checking tools that provide tight integrations into LMS workflows and a smooth customer experience. VeriCite CEO Valerie Schreiner, who previously held senior-level positions at Elluminate, Blackboard, and Schoolzilla, will bring a wealth of EdTech leadership to our organization. EdTech veteran Ray Henderson, who served as VeriCite's Board Chairman, will become an advisor to Turnitin.

As a member of the International Federation of Reproduction Rights Organisations, JAC is the preeminent organisation in Japan representing the reproduction rights of over 900 academic research societies.

(Turnitin) Turnitinís upcoming solution, Authorship Investigationóavailable in the second half of 2018ówill support institutions in identifying and investigating potential contract cheating incidences. The new capability will use a combination of machine learning algorithms and forensic linguistic best practices to detect major differences in studentsí writing style between papers. The following institutions have joined forces with Turnitin to advise the development process: Deakin University, Griffith University, University of California San Diego, University of New South Wales, University of Northampton, University of Queensland, and University of Wollongong.

(Turnitin) Turnitin announced that it has secured a new content partnership with, which will see Turnitin services match against the global pre-print repository. In addition to signing a Content License Agreement, arXiv have chosen to implement Turnitinís market leading iThenticate service, to assist them in checking the originality of papers uploaded to their repository. This move will help to protect the intellectual property of arXiv authors and allow Turnitin and iThenticate users to match against the arXiv database.
