(Kuali Foundation) Texas A&M University Libraries announced plans to join the Kuali OLE community and the Kuali Foundation as a partner. Texas A&M joins over 10 research libraries, including other leading universities such as Cornell University, Duke University, Indiana University, Lehigh University, North Carolina State University, University of Chicago, University of London Library Systems Association, University of Maryland, University of Pennsylvania and Villanova University. These libraries plus the North Rhine-Westphalian Library Service center (HBZ, Cologne, Germany), the common Library Network (GBV, Goettingen, Germany), HTC Global and EBSCO make up the current membership of OLE.

(Kuali Foundation) The North Rhine-Westphalian Library Service Center and the Common Library Network have joined the Kuali Open Library Environment (OLE) community and the Kuali Foundation as development partners. The hbz and GVB are two German library services network providers that collectively provide services to over 300 academic and research libraries.

(Kuali Foundation) SOAS Library has adopted the Kuali Open Library Environment (OLE) as its new library management system. As the UK National Research Library for Asia, Africa and the Middle East, SOAS Library has chosen Kuali OLE to manage its information and resources, including its renowned special collections. SOAS Library is the third library in the world to adopt the new system following Lehigh University and the University of Chicago.

(Kuali Foundation) North-West University became the first university in South Africa to implement the Kuali Financial System. The system went live on January 5, 2015, replacing Oracle Finance. NWU implemented KFS within their original timeframe and budget, developing an in-house capacity to support and enhance the system in the future.

(Kuali Foundation) KualiCo, the newly formed company focused on the delivery of open source administrative solutions for higher education, announced today the acquisition of rSmart’s software as a service (SaaS) business. A team of employees, including rSmart co-founder and CEO Chris Coppola, will join KualiCo to accelerate sales, marketing, operations, and product development activities. The specific terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.
