(Index Data) Spokane Public Library announced that it has chosen to partner with Index Data to help the Library adopt FOLIO. The Library aims to go live on FOLIO in the first half of 2021.

(Index Data) The Simmons University Library went live with the Open Source Library Services Platform FOLIO on Monday, June 15, 2020. As part of the Fenway Library Organization (FLO), Simmons implemented FOLIO in collaboration with the FLO staff as well as its hosting partner Index Data. It is using VuFind, the open source library resource portal, as its public-facing catalog user interface. This is the first implementation of VuFind as a public interface to FOLIO, and it includes full integration with patron empowerment functionality.

(Index Data) The Duke University Libraries (Duke) has selected Index Data as its implementation and hosting partner for its adoption of the FOLIO Library Services Platform, planned for Summer 2020. Duke plans to initially implement ERM functionality in FOLIO to be followed in 2021 with a full implementation.

(Index Data) The Lehigh University Library has selected Index Dataas its hosting and support vendor for its adoption of the FOLIO Library Services Platform,planned for Summer 2020. The library’s technical staff at Lehigh will manage the FOLIOinstall in Index Data’s cloud environment with secondary support from Index Data.

(Index Data) Project ReShare and Index Data are pleased to announce that Index Data will become the first Certified Service Provider for the ReShare consortial resource sharing platform. A software company specializing in creating innovative products and tools for the library ecosystem, Index Data will offer hosting, implementation, and support services for consortia that adopt the ReShare platform.

(Index Data) Fenway Library Organization has selected Index Data to support their adoption of the FOLIO Library Services Platform. The organizations will partner to migrate and support two of FLO’s members – Wentworth Institute of Technology and Simmons University – to FOLIO in June 2020. The rest of the FLO membership is looking to migrate to FOLIO in 2021.

(Index Data) A group of leading library and information organizations has come together to create Project ReShare - a new and open approach to library resource sharing systems. ReShare aims to inject new life into this space by developing a community-owned resource sharing platform. ReShare’s open source software will be built with a modular architecture focused on user-centric design. Organizations can adapt the system to their specific needs and experiment with new service models. Users will have the option to install the platform locally or select a preferred vendor for hosting and support. ReShare’s Apache 2.0 software license will allow libraries, developers, and vendors to innovate freely. Project ReShare is currently seeking membership in the Open Library Foundation, which will own the project’s intellectual property.

(Index Data) Index Data announces the latest release of their Metaproxy software, with important new functionality. Metaproxy is a general-purpose switching station for searching. It accepts queries in different standards-based protocols, and relay searches to any number of back-ends using both general and platform-specific interfaces. It provides on-the-fly conversions of data, caching, session-sharing, and traffic-regulation functions, to help protect back-end production systems and provide a more robust, efficient front-end and is made available as Open Source Software.

(Index Data) Index Data announces a new Open Source software tool: MKDru, a discovery/metasearch plugin for the popular Drupal Open Source CMS platform. The purpose of the plugin is to allow libraries and others to embed discovery/metasearch functionally directly into their websites. Available in separate versions for Drupal 6 and Drupal 7, the plugin makes it easy to implement sophisticated search interfaces with ranked, merged, and faceted results.

(Index Data) The Ohio Library and Information Network (OhioLINK) has contracted with Index Data to implement the first phase of a substantial re-engineering of their discovery services platform. Taking advantage of Index Data's advanced metasearch technologies and modular, tool-oriented software platform, OhioLINK will work together with Index Data to implement its MasterKey suite of technologies. The new discovery service, which will be deployed this fall, is the first phase in an extensive re-implementation of the services now offered by OhioLINK, including the harvesting and indexing of information resources, both commercial and public.

Zebra, Index Data's MARC and XML-based index engine and database server, will power the latest version of Clavis NG, Comperio's flagship ILS product. Pazpar2 powers Comperio's new metasearch offering--Plinio. Plinio adds federated searching capabilities to Discovery NG, the Social OPAC integrated into Clavis NG, the most advanced ILS available in the Italian library market. Plinio also integrates a Link Resolver and an Electronic Resources gateway.

(Index Data) Index Data has released a major upgrade to its open source Zebra indexing engine that makes it UNICODE compliant. With this upgrade, Zebra is now able to support indexing and searching in any UNICODE compliant script.
