(Crowley Company) The Crowley Company owner and president, Christopher Crowley, announces the formal release of Crowley’s first self-manufactured flatbed scanner, the A3+-sized Overhead Document Scanner. The scanner boasts a 16.5 x 23.4 inch scanning bed and is ideal for quick, accurate digitization of bound and loose materials. It will be first available to Crowley’s worldwide network of resellers and then to the general public.

(Crowley Company) The Crowley Company announced that for the third year running the firm has garnered several prestigious awards from the LibraryWorks, Inc. annual Modern Library Awards (MLA) program, which begin in 2015. The awards will be presented January 21st at the American Library Association Midwinter Meeting in Atlanta, Ga.

(Crowley Company) The Crowley Company will showcase new scan systems at the 2016 Annual American Library Association Conference (ALA). ALA attendees will participate in hands-on demonstrations of Crowley’s wide range of scanning solutions, including the new UScan+ HD and Zeutschel 16000 in Booth 1061 beginning Friday, June 24th Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet Elizabeth Gottlieb, author of “We Are One: Stories of Work, Life, and Love.”

(Crowley Company) Crowley Company announced the formal release of the Uscan+ HD, the next generation in the UScan+ line of universal microform scanners. Utilizing three decades of Mekel and Wicks and Wilson technology, the company’s manufacturing arms, Crowley is now offering the highest resolution on the market for this scanner type with an 18 megapixel image sensor for maximum image clarity. Microform includes: microfilm; microfiche; aperture cards; photo negatives; slides and more.

(Crowley Company) The Crowley Company, a worldwide leader in digital and analog scanning and capture solutions and services, is pleased to announce it has received gold and silver awards from the LibraryWorks, Inc. 2015 inaugural Modern Library Awards (MLA’s.) The MLA’s were created to recognize the top products in the library industry in a truly unbiased format. Products were submitted in the fall via a simple application and were then posted to a private site with an enhanced description and attendant materials. These products were batched into small groups and sent to the LibraryWorks database of more than 80,000 librarians at public, K-12, academic and special libraries. Only customers who had experience with these products in their facilities were permitted to judge the products, lending toward an unbiased score.

This next generation, the UScan+, is the result of customer feedback and their desire for additional features.

(Crowley Company) Christopher Crowley, president of The Crowley Company, announces the acquisition of key competitor Wicks and Wilson Limited. Based in Hampshire, England, Wicks and Wilson manufactures and distributes the Scanstation-brand microfilm, microfiche and aperture card scanners.
