(BibLibre) The Swedish Institute of Rome chose the Open Source Source ILS Koha and the help of BibLibre for its library. The Swedish Institute in Rome is a research institute, subordinate to the Swedish Ministry of Education. BibLibre will handle the migration, the staff training and will provide ongoing Koha support and hosting services.

(BibLibre) BibLibre and Elidoc announced that they have signed, on October 1st, a partnership to fit the interest of Greek libraries for Open Source software. Elidoc understands the needs of Greek libraries, and BibLibre is a leader in Open Source software for libraries, including Koha, Integrated Library System, and Drupal, Content Management system.

October 3, 2012

(BibLibre) BibLibre is developing a new OPAC module that enables libraries to integrate their catalog into a Drupal Web site. This Drupal module imports records from the ILS and offers features such as advanced search with faceted navigation, and allows patrons to perform circulation-related activities. The module is intended to work with any ILS through the use of connectors. BibLibre is developing the connector for Koha. Additional connectors can be created through PHP scripts.

(BibLibre) BibLibre and Catalyst IT, two significant contributors to the Koha project, announced a partnership to sponsor future work on development of the popular open source library management system. The new arrangement will see BibLibre sponsoring Koha's current Release Manager Chris Cormack so he can dedicate more time to the project.

(BibLibre) BibLibre named Philippe Chabanon as its new Chief Executive Officer, replacing Nicolas Morin. BibLibre was founded in Oct. 2007 and, with 3 founders, grew quickly; the company went from 3 to 11 people, had a turnover of a little under 500.000€ in 2009.

(BibLibre) BibLibre and Libriotech announced a partnership to provide support for Koha, Evergreen and other Open Source Software in Norway. The partnership between BibLibre and Libriotech provides a local company to assist Norwegian libraries with Koha and other OSS implementations as well as technical support.

September 24, 2008

(BibLibre) BibLibre announced that three French University libraries have selected Koha for their next ILS. The libraries for the universities of Marseille in France will switch to Koha. They are: Université de Provence, Université Paul Cézanne and Université de la Méditerranée, all in the Marseille area. The libraries will merge their catalogs, currently in a Horizon, Vubismart and Loris system respectively, and switch to Koha. The new catalog will have more than 750.000 items. The libraries have contracted with BibLibre for data migration, support and training on their Koha system. They also contracted with BibLibre to further develop Koha to enhance it's functionalities.
