(Access Innovations) Access Innovations, a leading data management firm, has partnered with AIP Publishing LLC, one of the world’s largest physical science publishers, to produce a comprehensive list of about 980,000 discrete academic authors and 33,000 institutions involved in publishing physics papers worldwide. Dating back to the early 20th century, the complete dataset contains more than 800,000 articles.

Currently in use on SPIE’s websites, and the SPIE Digital Library, the taxonomy provides the basis for topically focused searching and browsing the most relevant SPIE content from the society’s journals, proceedings papers, and eBooks.

(Access Innovations) Access Innovations, a leading firm in semantic enrichment, is working with the American Institute of Physics (AIP), one of the world’s largest physical science publishers, to semantically enrich AIP’s online full-text collection comprising more than 800,000 scholarly articles published in its academic journals since the 1930s. The enriched database allows users to easily search the extensive electronic collection of published articles with greater specificity and discoverability across physics. The database is driven by AIP’s thesaurus created by Access Innovations.
