Ex Libris Swets and Ex Libris collaboration on EDI Serial Claiming is a success. Swets Information Services and the Ex Libris Group have announced today that the EDI serial claiming trials they have been conducting with University College London have been successfully completed. The result of this collaboration has vastly accelerated the processing of claims for University College London. Libraries using the ALEPH integrated library system are now able to automatically transmit claims to Swets using the EDIFACT standard. [Full Announcement].

Endeavor Information Systems, Inc.. Baker & Taylor and Endeavor Information Systems offer library customers electronic ordering and invoicing. Baker & Taylor library customers are now able to place orders and receive invoices directly over the Internet. EDIFACT (the international standard for electronic data interchange) is now available to Baker & Taylor customers, using the Voyager integrated library management system from Endeavor Information Systems. Endeavor Information Systems, Inc.. EBSCO and Endeavor Information Systems announce EDIFACT invoice. Endeavor announces the ability to load EBSCO invoices through UN/EDIFACT format. Libraries using Voyager will be able to retrieve invoice files from EBSCO using FTP. [Full Announcement].

Announcement of the ability for Endeavor''s Voyager automation system to load electronic invoices from Blackwell. Voyager users will retrieve files of invoices in EDIFACT format through FTP. Endeavor Information Systems, Inc.. Endeavor and HARRASSOWITZ are first to implement UN/EDIFACT for serials. Kansas State University Library became the first university library in the world to successfully load EDI invoices for serials using UN/EDIFACT (the international standard for electronic data interchange). The library automation industry has long awaited EDIFACT for serials. This implementation was a joint development initiative between Harrawwowitz and Endeavor Information Systems. Innovative Interfaces, Inc. and Blackwell''s Book Services announce that they have reached agreement to implement EDIFACT transmissions.
