IGI Global Scientific Publishing and Athabasca University continue collaboration through renewed open access agreement. IGI Global Scientific Publishing has renewed its partnership with Athabasca University, a Canadian public research university, through an Open Access Agreement. Through this agreement, Athabasca University faculty receive Article Processing Charge (APC) funding from their library to publish in IGI Global Scientific Publishing's Open Access Journal Program, which includes nearly 200 journals across Business & Management, Scientific, Technical & Medical (STM), and Education & Social Sciences. By publishing Open Access (under CC BY licensing), faculty benefit from increased visibility, discoverability, and citation impact across hundreds of journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. ByWater Solutions, an open-source community contributor and America's forefront provider of Open Source library technology support, announced today that the Metro Transportation Research Library & Archives in Los Angeles, California is now live on the Koha ILS with ByWater Support. EBSCO Information Services has extended the deadline for EBSCO User Group 2026 session proposals to Dec. 1, 2025, giving North American academic library professionals additional time to share their ideas, innovations and stories. Held May 5–8, 2026, in Omaha, Nebraska, this year's program will offer three full days of peer-to-peer learning, integrated FOLIO tracks, in-depth workshops and networking opportunities. 32 books on key global issues to be published OA through collective funding initiative. At the end of a successful second year of its collective funding initiative, Taylor & Francis has announced the publication of 32 new open access books on key global themes, including children's welfare, global security, and AI. It has also confirmed that Pledge to Open will run for a third year. Pledge to Open supports the publication of books that are both free to read and free to publish for their authors, though library collective action. Pledging institutions enable worldwide dissemination of impactful research, which particularly benefits readers in resource-constrained regions and authors with limited OA funding.
