OAPEN Foundation DFG Launches Cooperation with the OAPEN Foundation. The Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft concluded a service level agreement for the use of the OAPEN Library as a repository for DFG-funded open access books. From Spring 2023 onwards, the library will contain monographs and anthologies funded through the Open Access Publication Funding programme and produced in connection with DFG research funding. Ex Libris Ex Libris Announces the URM Small Library Advisory Group. Ex Libris announced the formation of an advisory group to provide input on the requirements of small libraries in the development of the Unified Resource Management framework. The advisory group will play a significant role in the Ex Libris initiative to redesign library services and build the future management system for administrative library operations—selection, acquisition, cataloging, management, and fulfillment—for the full spectrum of library materials, regardless of format or location. SirsiDynix Forschungszentrum Jülich and SirsiDynix partner to deliver the first Symphony implementation in Germany. SirsiDynix announced that Forschungszentrum Jülich, one of the largest research centers in Europe and a member of the Helmholtz Association, successfully upgraded from Horizon version 5.3G to SirsiDynix Symphony version 3.2.1. Ex Libris The Forschungszentrum Rossendorf Research Institute discovers ALEPH 500. Ex Libris announced that the Forschungszentrum Rossendorf Research Institute in Saxony, Germany has chosen ALEPH 500 for its new integrated library system. The selection followed an evaluation process which consisted of an onsite trial period that lasted several months during which integrated library systems of various suppliers were considered. ALEPH 500 will replace FZR''s home-grown RoBis library system. [Full Announcement].
