OCLC WorldCat quality efforts to enhance millions more records. The OCLC metadata quality team consistently improves WorldCat records to help libraries make their resources more accessible to users worldwide through discovery, research, and interlibrary loan services. Using a combination of automated systems and manual enrichments, we review, delete, merge, and enhance an average of 4 million WorldCat records per month. In addition, each month we add more than 280 collections to the WorldCat knowledge base and enhance another 45,000 collections. This work helps ensure that information seekers can easily find the resources they need as soon as they're available in libraries. [Full Announcement].

OCLC welcomed ROSFLO, a leading content delivery organization based in Santiago with offices in Asuncion, as a new distributor of OCLC services in Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Bolivia. ROSFLO specializes in providing content delivery services to academic, health, research, and corporate sectors. Third Iron, a leading information technology company developing innovative services for libraries, publishers and their users, announced an integration of their service LibKey Discovery and OCLC WorldCat Discovery. LibKey Discovery delivers one-click linking to PDF articles and links that take the user from article records back to the original journal issue or to the most recent issue of the journal. Accessible Archives. Accessible Archives supports libraries - massive update completed with all discovery services. Accessible Archives Inc., an electronic publisher of full-text primary source historical databases, announces they have completed the process of updating all of its content in the major discovery services -- EBSCO Discovery Service, OCLC WorldCat, and ProQuest/Ex Libris Primo and Summon. While Accessible Archives has long been partnered with all services, in fact was one of the first participators, keeping everything current is quite the challenge for all parties involved – this effort is a continuation of Accessible Archives Year of Technology. OCLC WorldCat Discovery expands personal lists, shares user feedback to library staff. Users can now add notes records included in personal lists, to provide personal thoughts or descriptions of the content in an item. These notes can also be edited following their initial addition to a list.Use of temporary lists. An entire temporary list or individual items in a temporary list can now be added to a personal list, to save time in assembling useful lists of records from WorldCat Discovery search results.Edit lists. Sabinet. Paving the way for South African university libraries. Sabinet successfully rolled out the OCLC WorldShare Management Services to the University of Pretoria – the second academic university in Africa to adopt this system. WMS is a complete, cloud-based library management system that offers all the applications needed to manage a library: acquisitions, circulation, metadata, resource sharing, licence management, reports and a single-search discovery interface for end users. WMS's discovery interface, WorldCat Discovery, enables UP's university community to search the library's entire collection, as well as materials held by libraries worldwide, with a single search. OCLC OCLC and the National Library of the Netherlands sign long-term agreement to serve public libraries. OCLC and the Koninklijke Bibliotheek, the National Library of the Netherlands, signed a new long-term partnership agreement today for metadata management and discovery services that will increase the visibility of Dutch public libraries’ collections. Under the new agreement, library metadata workflows will be moved to WorldCat, the world’s most comprehensive network of data about library collections, and the WorldShare technology platform. WorldCat Discovery Services will also be integrated in the Dutch national infrastructure to increase the visibility of public library collections. [Full Announcement].
