OCLC OCLC releases more than 150 million WorldCat Entities as the foundation of a linked data infrastructure. OCLC has completed a project, funded in part by a grant from the Mellon Foundation, to develop a shared entity management infrastructure that supports linked data initiatives in the library community. As a result of this effort, OCLC has released millions of authoritative WorldCat Entities through a publicly searchable website and will continue to partner with libraries to develop the tools needed to fully incorporate linked data into library workflows and improve resource discovery through connections. Gale Group The University of Nottingham drives 21st-century data literacy with Gale Digital Scholar Lab. Gale, part of Cengage Group, is helping the University of Nottingham expand its digital research methods for teaching and learning digital humanities. The university is using Gale Digital Scholar Lab within its Digital Transformation Hub to support students in the widespread digital shift in humanities. The Lab makes digital research methods available to all of the university's students and researchers. IGI Global Carolina Consortium collaborates on title sharing agreement with IGI Global for a third year. Academic publisher IGI Global and the Carolina Consortium have collaborated for the third consecutive year on an e-Book Title Sharing Agreement that is being offered to over 175+ institutions that are eligible to participate. OCLC WorldCat quality efforts to enhance millions more records. The OCLC metadata quality team consistently improves WorldCat records to help libraries make their resources more accessible to users worldwide through discovery, research, and interlibrary loan services. Using a combination of automated systems and manual enrichments, we review, delete, merge, and enhance an average of 4 million WorldCat records per month. In addition, each month we add more than 280 collections to the WorldCat knowledge base and enhance another 45,000 collections. The Tasmanian Department of Health has launched a newly enhanced state-wide online resource portal, Electronic Portal for Online Clinical Help, available for clinicians, nurses, allied health professionals and administrators in the local public healthcare system. LibLime Three Public Libraries Go Live on Bibliovation 7.2. LibLime welcomes three new public library customers using Bibliovation 7.2 in production. These public libraries are using Bibliovation to provide collection maintenance and dissemination for their print and digital collections. One library is in Souda Bay on the island of Crete, one library is in Capodichino in Italy, and the third library is in Bahrain. Each of the libraries received implementation services from LibLime including system configuration, data migration, and staff training. Now that each site is live on Bibliovation 7.2, LibLime is offering each site award-winning hosting services as well.
