Infobase Centre Lane Partners acquires Infobase from VSS. Centre Lane Partners has completed the acquisition of Infobase Holding, a cloud-based provider of digital educational content solutions to colleges and universities, K-12 schools, public libraries and enterprises from VSS, a private investment firm focused on the information, tech-enabled business services, healthcare services, and education industries. Founded in 1940 and acquired by VSS in 2005, Infobase provides one-stop solutions for customers through its robust product portfolio of streaming video platforms, databases, eLearning modules, eBook collections, and other products. Infobase Infobase announces acquisition of The Mailbox. Infobase, a New York-based educational publishing company, announced that it has acquired The Education Center, publisher of The Mailbox and Learning magazine. The Mailbox is an online resource with more than 50,000 learning objects, lesson plans, and ideas for elementary school teachers. Learning magazine is a quarterly print magazine that features, highlights, and reviews award-winning products and services for the elementary school market. Infobase Infobase Publishing announces acquisition of Films Media Group. Infobase Publishing Company (Infobase) announced today that it has acquired the Films Media Group (FMG) from PRIMEDIA Inc. FMG is a leading source of high-quality educational video and multimedia programs for schools, colleges, libraries, the medical community, and other institutions. Infobase is an educational media company that owns such well-known reference publishing imprints as Facts On File, Chelsea House, Ferguson Publishing, and Bloom's Literary Criticism. Infobase Facts On File, Inc. Acquires Assets of Facts On File News Services. Facts On File, Inc., a leading provider of print and electronic reference products for the school and library markets, has reached agreement with The Reader's Digest Association, Inc. to acquire the assets of the Facts On File News Services. The agreement was announced today by Mark McDonnell, President of Infobase Publishing, Inc., operator of Facts On File, and Michael Geltzeiler, President of the Reader's Digest School & Educational Services Division. Infobase Infobase Learning announces acquisition of Learn360. Infobase Learning, a Veronis Suhler Stevenson portfolio company, announced that it has acquired Learn360, an interactive media-on-demand service for the K-12 education market, from AIM Education, Inc. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. A subscription-based provider of streaming media resources for the K-12 education market in the United States and Canada, the Learn360 platform contains more than 73,000 multimedia assets—including a wealth of digital video titles, video clips, speeches, images, songs, research articles, and activities from over 60 top educational producers—and has a user base of more than 25,000 schools. Learn360 is also a technology leader, offering educators and students a myriad of features and tools not found on any other streaming video platform. Additionally, all Learn360's video content is correlated to state, provincial, and Common Core standards, supporting 21st Century Learning Initiatives and meeting today's demands of school districts and teacher curricula.
