Pennsylvania Integrated Library System. Pennsylvania Integrated Library System growth in 2017. Pennsylvania Integrated Library System (PaILS), a consortium of Evergreen libraries, saw additional growth in 2017 adding the Bedford County Library System, Memorial Library of Nazareth and Vicinity, Bangor Public Library, Tunkhannock Public Library, Allentown Public Library, Bethlehem Area Public Library, Easton Public Library, and Shamokin Public Library. All of these libraries are now live on SPARK, the PaILS-operated, open source, Evergreen-based ILS. New libraries for 2018 will include the Huntingdon County Library, Potter-Tioga Library System, and 11 public libraries in Lehigh and Carbon Counties. This will bring the total to 122 service outlets. SPARK is hosted by the Equinox Open Library Initiative who also provide migration, consulting, training, and development services. Equinox Equinox adds Lehigh Valley Libraries to the PaILS consortium. Equinox announced that they have successfully migrated the LeHigh Valley Libraries to Evergreen within the PaILS SPARK Consortium. [Full Announcement].

OCLC LS/2000: questions and answers. LS/2000 is an integrated library system that provides bibliographic file maintenance, authority control, circulation control, a sophisticated online public access catalog, and other automated services for both library staff and patrons. The system is available on both minió and microcomputer hardware. LS/2000 is an enhanced version of the Integrated Library System (ILS) developed at the National Library of Medicine and is a product of a joint development effort between OCLC and Online Computer Systems, Inc. Efforts are successfully under way to incorporate enhancements previously developed by AVATAR (a library automation company acquired last year by OCLC).
