EBSCO Information Services Wuhan University drops Primo Central for EBSCO Discovery Service. Wuhan University, located in Wuhan, Hubei, China, has opted to replace Primo Central with EBSCO Discovery Service from EBSCO Information Services to provide a more powerful user experience through broader content and greater functionality. Wuhan University is also ranked as the number1 academy per the 2015/2016 ranking studies done by Research Center for China Science Evaluation and Network of Science and Education Evaluation in China, on the discipline of Library and Information Science as well as Archives Management. Ex Libris Institutions in Asia continue to adopt Ex Libris Solutions. Ex Libris announced that the number of customers in the Asia Pacific region, particularly in Chinese-speaking countries, continues to expand. Of late, six institutions in China—Wuhan University, Chongqing University Library, Shenzhen Polytechnic College, Capital University of Economics and Business, Beijing International Studies University, and Nanjing Library—have chosen to acquire Aleph, the Ex Libris integrated library system. In addition to Aleph, Wuhan University has also adopted the MetaLib gateway and metasearch system, the SFX context-sensitive link resolver, and the Verde electronic resource management system—all from Ex Libris.
