Index Data Spokane (Washington) Public Library Adopts the FOLIO Platform. Spokane (Washington) Public Library became the first public library in North America to use the FOLIO Library Services Platform. The library uses Index Data to host and support the open source platform for its six branches and community of 210,000 residents. Averaging over two million circulations per year, it is among the largest installations of FOLIO to date. [Full Announcement].

Patron Point Patron Point receives Platinum Award again in 2022 Modern Library Awards from LibraryWorks. Patron Point is delighted to announce it has received a Platinum award in LibraryWorks' eighth annual Modern Library Awards (MLAs.) The MLAs were created to recognize the top products and services in the library industry in a truly unbiased format. Products and services were submitted in the Fall using a simple application, and then were posted on a private site with an enhanced description and attendant materials. These products were batched into small groups and sent to the LibraryWorks database of more than 80,000 librarians at public, K-12, academic, and special libraries. Only customers with experience with these products/services in their facilities were permitted to judge the products/services, resulting in a truly unbiased score. [Full Announcement].

Bibliographic Data Services Limited Ireland Chooses BDS Metadata. The Republic of Ireland's public libraries will use BDS metadata starting this year. The Local Government Management Agency awarded the five-year contract. Civica's cloud Spydus library management software will deliver the BDS metadata to libraries. [Full Announcement].

Ubiquity Press University of North Alabama Upgrades Its Institutional Repository with Ubiquity Repositories. The end of 2021 saw the launch of University of North Alabama's Repository of Open Access Research (RoOAR) powered by Ubiquity Repositories. Axiell Axiell announces agreement to acquire Infor Library and Information Solutions business and expand global presence. Axiell, the world's leading software and services provider for the cultural sector, today announced an agreement to acquire Infor Library & Information Solutions, a business within Infor, the industry cloud company. The acquisition is expected to close in February. The Infor Library & Information Solutions business delivers solutions and services to the library sector and serves more than 180 customers in Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Greece, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States. Lyngsoe Systems Lyngsoe Systems announces User Group. Following consultation with customers, Lyngsoe Systems announces the launch of a User Group for the Library Business Unit. Staff from any library that uses any of Lyngsoe Systems (now including PV Supa and 2CQR) products or services will be able to join the group and participate in events and meetings of the group. The launch of the group includes access to a group platform where customers will be able to share their experience of working with Lyngsoe products and services with each other and with Lyngsoe Systems. The Library Corporation Now live on CARL: Frederick County Public Libraries complete transition to TLC. The Library Corporation announced the completed implementation of the CARL.X integrated library system for Frederick County Public Libraries in Frederick, Maryland. TLC completed migration services for the nine-site library from its SirsiDynix system following the 2021 Thanksgiving holiday. [Full Announcement].
