Ex Libris Aalto University will enhance its remote access services and speed digital transformation with the Ex Libris Higher-Ed Cloud Platform. Ex Libris, a ProQuest company, announced that Aalto University in Finland has selected the Ex Libris Alma library services platform and Primo discovery and delivery solution as part of a drive to upgrade the university's library. The integrated systems will unify the management of resources, simplify and automate workflows, free up staff for working on new initiatives, and strengthen the library's ability to make comprehensive services available remotely. Pennsylvania Integrated Library System. Pennsylvania Integrated Library System adds new members. Pennsylvania Integrated Library System, a consortium of Evergreen libraries, grew in 2016 adding the 8-member Blair County Library System (including the Altoona Area Public Library), the Pocono Mountain Public Library in Tobyhanna, PA, and the Eastern Monroe Public Library in Stroudsburg, PA. ByWater Solutions Nine Libraries join the Catamount Library Network with ByWater Solutions’ Koha support. ByWater Solutions announced that nine new member libraries have joined the Catamount Library Network in Vermont. The nine additional libraries who have joined the network over the past year include the Ainsworth Public Library, Bennington Free Library, Deborah Rawson Memorial Library, Fletcher Memorial Library, Guilford Free Library, Morristown Centennial Library, Royalton Memorial Library, Rutland Free Library and the Starksboro Public Library. Innovative Interfaces, Inc. Palo Alto City Library (CA) selects the Sierra Library Services Platform. Innovative announced that Palo Alto City Library has selected the Sierra Library Services Platform. The current collection size is 300,000 physical items and over 60,000 in electronic holdings. PACL circulates 1.4 million items annually and will be migrating from a Horizon system provided by SirsiDynix. [Full Announcement].

Innovative Interfaces, Inc. Halton Hills Public Library (Canada) selects the Sierra Library Services Platform. Innovative announced that Halton Hills Public Library in Ontario, Canada has selected the Sierra Library Services Platform and will migrate from a Horizon system provided by SirsiDynix. Fifty additional libraries have selected OCLC WorldShare Management Services this year, choosing the Web-based library management services that simplify back-office operations, streamline library workflows, and provide a powerful discovery and delivery service for library users. EnvisionWare Palo Alto City Library selects EnvisionWare for automated materials handling. EnvisionWare announced that Palo Alto City Library in California selected the EnvisionWare Modular Sorter for automated materials handling. The sorter is an expansion of the library’s existing EnvisionWare solutions, which include EnvisionWare eCommerce Services and the EnvisionWare Staff Transaction Station. [Full Announcement].

PTFS Europe First UK public library chooses open source library management system. Halton Borough Council has chosen the Koha open source library management system to replace its existing Dynix solution. PTFS Europe are carrying out the initial implementation and providing ongoing support. The system is hosted at the PTFS Europe data centre in Maidenhead. [Full Announcement].

Relais International Linnea2 in Finland begin implementing Pilot Libraries. Relais International announced that four libraries from the Linnea2 Consortium, a group of 17 Finnish Universities and 7 other organizations in Finland, have signed a contract to implement Relais ILL. The 4 libraries, Aalto University, National Repository Library, Oulu University, and the University of Lapland, will pilot the system this year. Innovative Interfaces, Inc. Palo Alto City Library (CA) Joins LINK+ Resource-Sharing System. The Palo Alto City Library (CA) has joined LINK+, a direct consortial library borrowing system driven by Innovative's INN-Reach solution.
