MOBIUS announced that the Person County Public Library System successfully migrated and went live as a member of the NC Cardinal consortium, which utilizes the Evergreen Integrated Library System (ILS), on September 16, 2021. MOBIUS announced that the Burke County Public Library System successfully migrated and went live as a member of the NC Cardinal Consortium, which utilizes the Evergreen Integrated Library System (ILS), on May 6, 2021. Overdrive World’s Largest Digital Book Club’s next title The Quiet Girl now available in public libraries. Public libraries around the globe are connecting their communities of readers together during the next Big Library Read, the world's largest digital book club. From June 28-July 12, readers can solve a compelling mystery in S.F. Kosa's debut thriller, The Quiet Girl, ebook from their public library. Big Library Read is available in over 20,000 libraries around the world, including approximately 90 percent of public libraries in North America. During past programs, readers have participated in engaging online discussions about the title. ByWater Solutions Worcester State University Library joins HELM and ByWater Solutions' Koha Support. ByWater Solutions announced that HELM (Higher Education Libraries of Massachusetts), an association of Massachusetts college libraries in public higher education has added Worcester State University Library to their HELM catalog. Ex Libris, a ProQuest company, announced that users of Ex Libris cloud-based products have reached a major milestone: original applications developed by and for members of the Ex Libris community have been activated two thousand times. Gale Group Gale helps North Bend School District bring mental health and wellness resources to students. With additional pressure being placed on students due to the pandemic and other stressors, Gale, a Cengage company, is helping the North Bend School District 13 (NBSD) support mental health and wellness. Located in North Bend, Oregon, the district is using Cameron's Collection and Cameron's Camp for Wellness on the Gale eBooks platform to help students better understand their mental health and provide guidance to strengthen their social and emotional learning (SEL) skills. MOBIUS announced that the Avery-Mitchell-Yancey (AMY) Regional Library successfully migrated and went live as a member of the NC Cardinal Consortium, which utilizes the Evergreen Integrated Library System (ILS), on February 18, 2021. OCLC K. Wayne Smith, former President and CEO of OCLC, dies at 82. Dr. K. Wayne Smith, former President and CEO of OCLC, has died at the age of 82. Smith led OCLC from 1989–1998, a period of enormous growth. He came to OCLC after a distinguished career in government, education, and business [Full Announcement].

Third Iron, LLC, a leading information technology company developing innovative services for libraries, publishers and their users, announced the release of two new LibKey services: LibKey Link and LibKey.io. LibKey Link delivers one-click access to tens of millions of library-subscribed and open access articles from any database where a link resolver is used today. LibKey.io is a website that resolves DOI and PubMed ID searches through library and open access sources, all in one-click; libkey.io/ may also be added as a prefix to any DOI or PMID, connecting researchers to the article from their library resources. MOBIUS MOBIUS Migrates North Texas Library Consortium. MOBIUS announced that the North Texas Library Consortium, which utilizes the Evergreen ILS, successfully migrated and went live on its MOSS (MOBIUS Open Source Solutions) service on April 28, 2020. Previously, the Consortium was a self-supported Evergreen instance. MOBIUS performed data migration services and also provides data hosting and support to the Consortium. [Full Announcement].

Springer. Springer Nature partners with Research Solutions to bring comprehensive journal and book content to small and medium-sized enterprises. In partnership with the document retrieval provider Reprints Desk, Springer Nature has developed a way for SMEs to access all of Springer Nature’s journal and book content. The partnership with Reprints Desk, a wholly owned subsidiary of Research Solutions Inc., will allow researchers working for SMEs to benefit from influential content that will empower them to drive research and discovery, and stay ahead of competition. Starting from April 2020, the commercial partnership and will initially run for 12 months, after which a detailed analysis will be conducted and companies have the opportunity of purchasing content collections tailored to their needs, [Full Announcement].

The Library Corporation TLC welcomes the OWLSnet Consortium of Wisconsin. The Library Corporation announced that OWLSnet, a public library consortium consisting of 29 libraries with 49 locations across two library systems in Northeast Wisconsin, has joined the CARL•X family. [Full Announcement].

MOBIUS announced that the Sandhill Regional Library System successfully migrated and went live as a member of the NC Cardinal Consortium, which utilizes the Evergreen ILS, on January 16, 2020. MOBIUS performed data migration services to the Evergreen ILS as part of its MOSS (MOBIUS Open Source Solutions) service. MOBIUS also provides data hosting and support to the NC Cardinal consortium.
