New York Public Library and San Francisco Public Library are now live on the Sierra Library Services Platform, each upgrading from the Millennium ILS. Innovative Interfaces, Inc. Innovative Announces eight Recent Encore Installations. Innovative announced that its Encore Services team completed installations at eight libraries, spanning three continents. The new Encore libraries are Iowa City Public Library (IA), Massey University Library (New Zealand), Pace University (NY), Quinnipiac University (CT), San Francisco Public Library (CA), Singapore Management University (Singapore), Singapore Polytechnic (Singapore), and Wayne State University (MI). FKI Logistex recently installed a self check-in and sortation system at the San Francisco Public Library’s Main Library branch. Using the library’s existing barcodes, the customized system fully automates the Main Library’s return system to increase capacity, provide fast, easy self-service for patrons, and reduce turnaround time for items’ lending availability. Innovative Interfaces, Inc. San Francisco Public Library goes live with LINK+ service. San Francisco Public Library went live in February of this year as a member LINK+, a direct consortial borrowing system comprised of 39 public and academic libraries in California and Nevada. The Library's over 380,000 registered users can now access any of 7.9 million additional titles through LINK+ more quickly than through traditional interlibrary loan. San Francisco Public Library also serves as a resource to its LINK+ partners with over 455,000 unique titles to contribute to the collective. LINK+ holds over 25 million items total and has been driven by Innovative's INN-Reach solution since its founding in 1994. [Full Announcement].

Webfeat. San Francisco Public Library launches WebFeat, Version 2.0. San Francisco Public Library released its second-generation WebFeat Prism system to the public. The enhanced WebFeat system, which enables library patrons to simultaneously search any or all of the library's 70+ databases, was designed by the staff of San Francisco Public Library.
