Oslo Public Library. Oslo Public Library launches new Koha-based library management system with linked data capabilities. Oslo Public Library - launched their new library management platform on the 12th of October after a 24 month development period. Core library functions, such as circulation, patron management, automation and messaging is managed by Koha, the open source web-based ILS managed by the Koha foundation. The online catalog search interface, patron self-service tools, and cataloguing are all developed in house in joint development between OPLs staff and external consultants. [Full Announcement].

Oslo Public Library. Oslo Public Library chooses the free and open Koha Integrated Library System. At the end of 2013, the Library Director decided that Oslo Public Library will move to the free and open Koha Integrated Library System (ILS). This decision has been made based on a long running process in the "Application project", and the demands placed on systems, tools and software in a modern public library in Oslo. På det siste ledermøtet før jul besluttet Biblioteksjefen at Deichmanske bibliotek skal ta i bruk det frie og åpne biblioteksystemet Koha. Beslutningen ble tatt på bakgrunn av en lengre prosess i Applikasjonsprosjektet og de kravene som stilles til systemer, verktøy og programvare i et moderne biblioteknettverk i Oslo.
