Ex Libris Ex Libris Esploro solution now integrated with ORCID to help researchers showcase their work effectively and consistently. Ex Libris announced the integration of the Ex Libris Esploro research information management solution and ORCID services. ORCID is a leading global, not-for-profit organization that uniquely identifies researchers and links them to their contributions. The integration now enables scholars to seamlessly share their ORCID iD with Esploro in order to strengthen the accuracy of their profiles and facilitate the tracking of their publications. Through this integration, Esploro and ORCID profiles are updated bidirectionally. Profile information includes, for example, education, affiliation, and a list of publications. Connecting scholars to their work is vitally important for making research outputs easily discoverable and also helps improve the accuracy of researchers' profiles. [Full Announcement].

ByWater Solutions Montgomery County Public Libraries go live on Aspen and Koha with ByWater support. ByWater Solutions, America's forefront provider of Open Source library technology support, announced that Montgomery County Public Libraries in Maryland is now live on Aspen Discovery and Koha ILS with ByWater Support. Coherent Digital Coherent Digital acquires the Taylor & Francis Digital Primary Source Archive. Coherent Digital has acquired the Taylor & Francis digital primary source archive, with plans to migrate the content to the award-winning Commons platform and enhance the collections. LibLynx LibLynx integrates with theIPregistry.org to simplify access control for De Gruyter. LibLynx has integrated data from theIPregistry.org into its Identity & Access solution to enable publishers to automatically maintain registered IP addresses. The enhanced service launched on the new De Gruyter publishing platform in October 2021. [Full Announcement].

Equinox Let’s Get Libraries Online: Equinox Raises Funds for Library Websites. This #GivingTuesday, will you help fund a library's website? Equinox Open Library Initiative announces its 2021 fundraising campaign, “Let's Get Libraries Online!” From November 30, 2021 through December 31, 2021, Equinox is raising funds to provide libraries with their first websites. This initiative will offer libraries the opportunity to establish a web presence, share library information, broaden reach in the community, and expand access to library resources and collections. Funds raised will be matched with in-kind services from Equinox to deliver user-friendly, mobile-ready websites to selected libraries. [Full Announcement].

The Library Corporation Bryan College Station Library migrates to TLC for efficiency and security. The Library Corporation announced the recent implementation of Library.Solution for Bryan + College Station Public Library System. TLC completed the migration services for the three-site library system from their Polaris integrated library system earlier this month. [Full Announcement].

EBSCO Information Services Jorge Tadeo Lozano University to adopt the FOLIO LSP. Jorge Tadeo Lozano University (UTadeo) has become the first library in Colombia to choose FOLIO as its Library Services Platform (LSP). The university will use EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) for implementation and hosting services via EBSCO FOLIO. Innovative, a ProQuest company and leading global provider of library software, announced today that London Public Library in Ontario, Canada has joined Innovative's Vega Development Partner program. Ex Libris Stockholm School of Economics selects Ex Libris Esploro. Ex Libris, a ProQuest company, announced that the Stockholm School of Economics, one of Europe's leading business schools, has chosen the Ex Libris Esploro current research information management system (CRIS) to increase research impact, make SSE's research publications more accessible, and render scholarly communication more efficient. NISO NISO publishes updated Access and License Indicators (ALI) Recommended Practice. The National Information Standards Organization announced publication of its updated Access and License Indicators Recommended Practice (NISO RP-22-2021). Originally published in 2015, this Recommended Practice defines the metadata indicators used to indicate free-to-read content, as well as for linking to license terms for the use/re-use of that content. Evergreen Project Usability Improvements in New Evergreen ILS Release. Usability and interface improvements highlight Evergreen's new Release 3.8, the latest semi-annual software update. Patron notes, messages and alerts are now in an improved consolidated interface for better service. The Library Corporation TLC welcomes the Return of J Robert Jamerson Memorial Library to Library.Solution. The Library Corporation welcomes the return of another former customer to Library.Solution. J. Robert Jamerson Memorial Library migrated away from the open-source Koha platform supported by Bywater Solutions and returned to TLC — their previous library management vendor of 22 years prior to 2014. TIND TIND Appoints Matt Hall as VP of Business Development. TIND, a spin off from CERN specializing in innovative library software solutions, announced that Matt Hall has joined their expanding team as VP of Business Development. The National Information Standards Organization (NISO) today announced the publication of its Recommended Practice, NISO RP-38-2021, Content Platform Migrations, which provides guidance to improve processes and communication between all parties, with suggested steps involved before, during, and after the migration of content from one platform to another. United States Congress. Wyden and Eshoo Press for Answers on Restrictive E-Book Agreements That Limit Libraries’ Digital Lending. U.S. Senator Ron Wyden, D-Ore., and Rep. Anna Eshoo, D-Calif., today sought answers about expensive, restrictive e-book lending contracts with libraries, in letters to nine e-book aggregators and platforms. Aggregators are middlemen that license e-books to libraries on behalf of book publishers, and can also develop the e-lending platforms used by library patrons. The questions are part of Wyden and Eshoo's ongoing inquiry into restrictions on public and academic libraries' ability to lend e-books. [Full Announcement].

ProQuest Entrepreneurship-Focused Italian University adds its Doctoral works to the ProQuest Dissertations and Theses Global database. Business and economics-focused LIUC-Università Carlo Cattaneo will become the first Italian university to formally include its graduate research in ProQuest Dissertations and Theses Global, the largest curated database of dissertations and theses in the world. LIUC-Università Carlo Cattaneo is an Italian university with a unique focus on entrepreneurship.
