HBCU Library Alliance. HBCU Library Alliance Elects New Board Members. The Historically Black Colleges and University (HBCU) Library Alliance announces two newly elected members and one newly re-appointed member of the HBCU Library Alliance Board of Directors. Rinalda L. Farrar, Ph.D. and Judith Rogers, MLIS are newly elected board members, and Monika Rhue, MLIS was elected to serve a second term. Elections were held in June for all members in good standing of the HBCU Library Alliance, and elected members serve 3-year appointments. [Full Announcement].

HBCU Library Alliance. HBCU Library Alliance receives new grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. The Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Library Alliance has received a new grant from The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to support the assessment and strengthening of library services for faculty research at historically black colleges and universities. The project will foster improved library services on individual HBCU campuses and develop collaborative approaches to expand HBCU community-wide library support for faculty research.
