Ex Libris Esploro solution now integrated with ORCID to help researchers showcase their work effectively and consistently. Ex Libris announced the integration of the Ex Libris Esploro research information management solution and ORCID services. ORCID is a leading global, not-for-profit organization that uniquely identifies researchers and links them to their contributions. The integration now enables scholars to seamlessly share their ORCID iD with Esploro in order to strengthen the accuracy of their profiles and facilitate the tracking of their publications. Through this integration, Esploro and ORCID profiles are updated bidirectionally. Profile information includes, for example, education, affiliation, and a list of publications. LibLynx integrates with theIPregistry.org to simplify access control for De Gruyter. LibLynx has integrated data from theIPregistry.org into its Identity & Access solution to enable publishers to automatically maintain registered IP addresses. Equinox Open Library Initiative announces its 2021 fundraising campaign, “Let's Get Libraries Online!” From November 30, 2021 through December 31, 2021, Equinox is raising funds to provide libraries with their first websites. This initiative will offer libraries the opportunity to establish a web presence, share library information, broaden reach in the community, and expand access to library resources and collections. Bryan College Station Library migrates to TLC for efficiency and security. The Library Corporation announced the recent implementation of Library.Solution for Bryan + College Station Public Library System. Jorge Tadeo Lozano University to adopt the FOLIO LSP. Jorge Tadeo Lozano University (UTadeo) has become the first library in Colombia to choose FOLIO as its Library Services Platform (LSP). The university will use EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) for implementation and hosting services via EBSCO FOLIO. NISO publishes updated Access and License Indicators (ALI) Recommended Practice. The National Information Standards Organization announced publication of its updated Access and License Indicators Recommended Practice (NISO RP-22-2021). Originally published in 2015, this Recommended Practice defines the metadata indicators used to indicate free-to-read content, as well as for linking to license terms for the use/re-use of that content. United States Congress. Wyden and Eshoo Press for Answers on Restrictive E-Book Agreements That Limit Libraries’ Digital Lending. U.S. Senator Ron Wyden, D-Ore., and Rep. Anna Eshoo, D-Calif., today sought answers about expensive, restrictive e-book lending contracts with libraries, in letters to nine e-book aggregators and platforms. Aggregators are middlemen that license e-books to libraries on behalf of book publishers, and can also develop the e-lending platforms used by library patrons.
