From June 28-July 12, readers can solve a compelling mystery in S.F. Kosa's debut thriller, The Quiet Girl, ebook from their public library. Big Library Read is available in over 20,000 libraries around the world, including approximately 90 percent of public libraries in North America. During past programs, readers have participated in engaging online discussions about the title. Overdrive Every public school student (in Delaware) now has digital access to books. With schools facing the challenge of unfinished learning due to the pandemic, the Delaware Department of Education is providing access to online books to every K-12 student in the state. OverDrive annually reports on the growth of circulation as public libraries enable more readers to discover and borrow digital books from their lending collections. During the 12 months from March 2020 through February 2021 this growth trend continued, as digital circulation surged when libraries closed their doors due to COVID-19. Overdrive New choice report studies academic collection development, reveals shift to ebooks. As digital books become more essential in colleges and universities due to the COVID-19 pandemic, academic librarians are adopting the ebook format at a vastly accelerated rate. To better understand ebook collection development in academic libraries, Choice, a publishing unit of the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL), conducted a research study to shine a much-needed light on the ways academic libraries are responding to the increased demand for digital content.
