Ex Libris Four Prominent Italian Universities implement Ex Libris RapidILL Interlibrary Loan Services to improve document delivery. Ex Libris, a ProQuest company announced that four prominent Italian universities—the Libera Università di Bolzano (Free University of Bozen-Bolzano), Università degli Studi di Bergamo (University of Bergamo), Università degli Studi di Genova (University of Genoa), and Università degli Studi dell'Insubria (University of Insubria)—recently adopted the Ex Libris RapidILL™ interlibrary loan system to provide users with fast document delivery services. The universities were able to benefit from the free initiative that Ex Libris offered the library community at the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Ex Libris Italy’s LUISS – Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli Selects Ex Libris Alma Library Services Platform. Ex Libris announced that LUISS – Libera Università Internazionale degli Studi Sociali Guido Carli is to build its new and enhanced library services on the Ex Libris Alma platform while continuing to work with the Ex Libris Summon discovery solution. Ex Libris Libera Università di Lingue e Comunicazione IULM selects Ex Libris Alma and Primo. Ex Libris announced that the Libera Università di Lingue e Comunicazione IULM has chosen the Ex Libris Alma resource management service and the Ex Libris Primo discovery and delivery solution. With the combined platform, the university anticipates increasing integration with other campus and library systems, improving the discovery experience for users, and creating innovative new services. Alma and Primo will replace IULM University’s existing Ex Libris Aleph integrated library system and EBSCO Discovery Service. [Full Announcement].

OCLC Se unen más bibliotecas a la comunidad de Servicios de Administración WorldShare de OCLC. Otras quince bibliotecas anunciaron que eligieron los Servicios de Administración WorldShare de OCLC, los primeros servicios cooperativos de administración de bibliotecas de Webscale que simplifica las tareas de catalogación, adquisición, circulación, flujo de trabajo y administración de licencias. También ofrecen una herramienta de identificación de última generación para los usuarios de bibliotecas. Innovative Interfaces, Inc. Italy's Unione Romana Biblioteche Scientifiche Network selects Millennium for network-wide union catalog. The Unione Romana Biblioteche Scientifiche selected Millennium to provide the union catalog for its network of fourteen libraries. URBS is composed of various academic institutions in Rome that provide patrons with nearly one half-million English and Italian items. Twelve of these libraries will also share the Millennium system as their integrated library technology platform. The Network is migrating from a Geac Advance system maintained by Extensity, Inc.
