More Arizona Libraries Join LibraryCall Dial-A-Story Program. After a successful first year of offering Dial-A-Story at 18 libraries, all but two will be renewing their service and five new libraries are being added bringing the total to 23 Arizona customers. Bermuda National Library selects BookPoints app for 2021 summer reading program. The Bermuda National Library has selected and implemented The Galecia Group's BookPoints summer reading application software for the 2021 summer reading season. The Bermuda National Library is the public library service for the territory's 63,000 residents, and the summer reading program, Tails & Tales, will be aimed at the approximately 10,000 youth who live on the islands. The Galecia Group's project, LibraryCall Dial-A-Story has rebranded their Dial-A-Story services as Dial-A-Story Studio and Storytime Direct. LibraryCall Dial-A-Story partners with Storynory. LibraryCall, the provider of the only librarian-managed Dial-A-Story service, announced a partnership with London-based Storynory. Storynory is one of the largest sources of free and well-loved children's audiobooks online. LibraryCall allows librarians to easily set up telephone-based services for their patrons, such as Library Dial-A-Story services, community calendars, and resource hotlines that give callers up-to-the-minute information on local community services. In response to the shutdown of in-person services, including libraries, due to COVID-19, we have been hard at work putting together a solution that will help libraries continue to fulfill their mission of providing information and services to the public by establishing their own online support platform. We have tested a range of communication and online management tools and put together a suite of products that is affordable, scalable, and integrated to allow libraries to function in a virtual environment with staff distributed in locations outside of the physical library.
