Ex Libris Arizona Universities Library Consortium selects Ex Libris Alma, Primo, and bX Solutions. Ex Libris announced that the Arizona Universities Library Consortium has chosen the Ex Libris Alma library management service, along with the Ex Libris Primo® discovery and delivery platform and bX scholarly recommender service, to make scholarly resources more readily available to the consortium’s student and faculty users. ProQuest Arizona State University chooses ProQuest SIPX to reduce students’ course materials costs and enhance the educational experience. ProQuest SIPX, provider of the most complete digital course materials solutions in higher education, has signed a three-year deal with Arizona State University, the largest public university in the U.S. with over 90,000 students. ASU will integrate the SIPX Central service—a scalable, self-service configuration that enables anyone at the school to set up course readings—into the campus’ Blackboard learning management system. The technology is unique, sophisticated, yet user-friendly and helps get more library resources and open access content into the hands of instructors. The service will reduce the cost of course materials for students and simplify sharing of the course readings between instructors and students. [Full Announcement].

Ex Libris Arizona State University and Northern Arizona University select Ex Libris Rosetta. Ex Libris announced that Arizona State University and Northern Arizona University have adopted the Rosetta digital asset management and preservation solution. Rosetta will enable the libraries to manage and preserve their digital collections, including born-digital objects such as web sites and research data, in perpetuity. With Rosetta, the three institutions will be able to implement the solution together and work off one infrastructure, providing end-to-end digital asset management and preservation for the vast array of assets in all of their libraries. Arizona State University. EUREKA – ASU and Arizona Libraries collaborate to offer co-working spaces and Business support through new Alexandria Network. ASU Venture Catalyst, the startup unit of Arizona State University, along with the Scottsdale Public Library system, has announced a new initiative for helping inventors, problem-solvers, social enterprises, entrepreneurs, and small businesses. The new Alexandria Network is designed to provide support for the innovation economy within designated libraries, eventually creating a network of locations across the greater Phoenix area and then across the state of Arizona. ProQuest Academic library adoptions of the Summon service spread around the world. Less than a month into its official launch, the Summon discovery service from Serials Solutions has its first commercial adoption in Australia. The University of South Australia joins such American institutions as Arizona State University. [Full Announcement].
