Ottawa Public Library (ON) launches Patron Point. Patron Point announced today that the Ottawa Public Library, Ontario, Canada, (OPL), has launched its patron relationship management system to help drive its patron engagement and web marketing efforts. Ottawa Public Library opts for RFID. Bibliotheca announced it is working with the Ottawa Public Library to help bring RFID technology – including provision of all tags and conversion services in the year ahead, and much of the equipment for the first branch to switch to RFID – to North America’s largest bilingual (French and English) library system. OPL serves almost one million residents and provides access to a collection of more than 2.3 million items across 33 branches and two bookmobiles. [Full Announcement].
