ChiliFresh ChiliFresh announces free Reference Desk Chat alternative to Meebo. ChiliFresh, the leading provider of social interactive content for libraries worldwide, announced a free alternative for libraries that have been using Meebo for their virtual reference desk services and libraries that want to start providing online reference desk services. Meebo, a social networking company, has recently been acquired by Google. ChiliFresh ChiliFresh announces Facebook application. ChiliFresh, a global provider of patron social networking, book reviews, and cover art, announced a new application for integrating the library catalog and patron book review functionality within the library’s Facebook page. The App, which is available with the Connections social networking suite, will work with any integrated library system software, including SirsiDynix, Innovative Interfaces, Evergreen, Polaris, and more. With the App, patrons have full catalog functionality, including catalog searching, the ability to place holds, check their account status and pay fines. EBSCO Information Services EBSCO’s NoveList and ChiliFresh Connections join forces. ChiliFresh, a global provider of patron social networking, book reviews, and cover art, and NoveList, a provider of leading readers' advisory services, announced a new content agreement today, intended to enhance both social networking and reader advisory within the library catalog.
