Index Data PALCI and ConnectNY libraries now live on ReShare hosted by Index Data. Earlier this month, library patrons of both the PALCI consortium and ConnectNY started using ReShare Shared Inventory and ReShare Returnables to request the delivery of books between campuses. PALCI was the first consortium to go live and use these next-generation apps to expedite the movement of items between libraries—effectively broadening the base of knowledge available to these students, faculty, and staff. Index Data is providing hosting and implementation support for both the PALCI and ConnectNY ReShare installations. [Full Announcement].

Wiley, Inc.. Wiley Names Jay Flynn as Head of Research. Wiley, a global leader in research and education, announced that Jay Flynn has been named Executive Vice President of Wiley Research, succeeding Judy Verses. Flynn will report directly to Wiley President & CEO Brian Napack and oversee the company's fast-growing research business. [Full Announcement].

Coherent Digital Mindscape Commons wins the ALPSP 2021 Award for Innovation in Publishing. Mindscape Commons, the world's first and largest source of Virtual Reality (VR) and interactive video content for teaching and learning mental health, was named as winner of this year's ALPSP Award for Innovation in Publishing. David Sommer, Chair of the judging panel, revealed the winners at the close of the ALPSP Annual Conference and Awards which took place virtually today. PLOS Community Action Publishing was also named winner among a distinguished list of finalists. [Full Announcement].

Patron Point Novi Public Library (MI) launches Patron Point. Patron Point announced that Novi Public Library, Michigan, has selected its patron engagement platform to support the goal for more targeted marketing strategies as part of the Library's current strategic plan. [Full Announcement].

ByWater Solutions ByWater Solutions announces Aspen Discovery 21.12.00 release. We're excited to announce the 12th release of the year- Aspen Discovery 21.12.00. We're still moving full speed ahead on making enhancements to our Aspen Discovery LiDA (Library Discovery App) app. The app is undergoing Beta testing but we're hoping to push to app stores in 2-3 weeks. SirsiDynix New Mexico State Library selects SirsiDynix as their ILS vendor. New Mexico State Library has selected SirsiDynix as their Integrated Library System partner. Follett Follett Aspen Student Information System partners with MyFlexLearning. Follett School Solutions and Nash Consulting, LLC, announced a partnership to integrate the Follett Aspen Student Information System with Nash Consulting's MyFlexLearning, a flexible scheduling platform. Together, the two systems give schools the benefit of the robust Aspen master scheduler and the ability to provide flexible and personalized daily offerings for students via MyFlexLearning. Ex Libris Ex Libris Library App now live at the University of Amsterdam. Ex Libris, a ProQuest company, announced that the University of Amsterdam is now live with the Ex Libris Library Mobile app, just in time for the new academic year. The Ex Libris Library Mobile app, powered by Ex Libris campusM, will help librarians provide their customers with the seamless user experience that they have come to expect from the retail, banking, and leisure applications that they use daily. The UvA Library will use the app to increase the visibility of library services such as account information, library hours, and study spaces. ByWater Solutions MetroShare Consortium goes live on Aspen and Koha with ByWater support. ByWater Solutions, America's forefront provider of Open Source library technology support, the MetroShare Consortium in Texas is now live on Aspen Discovery and Koha with ByWater Support. [Full Announcement].

ReShare Community ConnectNY Launches ReShare Returnables. ConnectNY, a consortium of independent academic institutions in New York State, launched ReShare Returnables on September 1, 2021. ConnectNY follows closely on the heels of the PALCI consortium, which implemented ReShare Returnables in August. [Full Announcement].

Follett Follett Literacy Program Giveaway Provides Students Chance to Win Video Conference Visit with Author Who Inspired International Dot Day. Children's author Peter H. Reynolds, who is in the spotlight today with the global celebration of International Dot Day, will soon be participating in a live video conference with one lucky classroom, thanks to the Write to Connect program from Follett School Solutions. Boston Library Consortium. Boston Library Consortium to implement controlled digital lending for interlibrary loan. The Boston Library Consortium will implement controlled digital lending as a mechanism for interlibrary loan among its interested member libraries, under a new plan approved by its Board of Directors at their August 2021 meeting. In this resource sharing model, items that traditionally would be loaned physically could instead be digitized and lent digitally under controlled conditions. [Full Announcement].

Library of Congress Library of Congress names New IT leadership. Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden has appointed Judith Conklin as the chief information officer of the Library of Congress and John Rutledge the deputy chief information officer. The two executives will serve as the Library's senior information technology experts, ensuring technology operations are aligned with the Library's strategic plan. Conklin will also serve as the primary adviser to the Librarian of Congress on all technology matters and as a voting member on the Library's Executive Committee. [Full Announcement].

LibLynx. LibLynx enables Emerald Publishing to improve remote access through SeamlessAccess integration. Emerald's progressive digital research platform, Emerald Insight, now enables researchers to seamlessly access research from wherever they are and from whatever device. The SeamlessAccess service, enabled through an integration with LibLynx's identity & access solution, automatically recognises if a researcher has previously logged into Emerald Insight using Shibboleth or OpenAthens and remembers their institution as their first option so that they do not need to manually search for their institution on each user experience. NISO New NISO Project—Package Identifiers. The National Information Standards Organization announced a new project, recently approved by its voting members, to develop a Recommended Practice for Unique Electronic Resource Package Identifiers. Equinox Equinox welcomes James Memorial Public Library to the Missouri Evergreen Consortium. Equinox Open Library Initiative, an expert leader in open source technology, development, and support for libraries, announced the migration of the James Memorial Public Library to Evergreen ILS as the newest member of the Missouri Evergreen Consortium. EBSCO Information Services Eight academic institutions from around the world adopt EBSCO FOLIO’s ERM for electronic resource management. Eight universities in the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States have adopted EBSCO FOLIO ERM from EBSCO Information Services. The libraries either moved from existing electronic resource management (ERM) tools or instituted their first ever ERM. [Full Announcement].

Ex Libris New Ex Libris Esploro research portal showcases scholarship and helps users find experts. Ex Libris, a ProQuest company, announced the launch of new research portal capabilities in the Ex Libris Esploro research information management solution. With Esploro, institutions can deploy a fully branded portal that enables researchers, funders, industry stakeholders, and the public to access publications, explore researchers' work, and find scholarly expertise.
