Ex Libris Four Prominent Italian Universities implement Ex Libris RapidILL Interlibrary Loan Services to improve document delivery. Ex Libris, a ProQuest company announced that four prominent Italian universities—the Libera Università di Bolzano (Free University of Bozen-Bolzano), Università degli Studi di Bergamo (University of Bergamo), Università degli Studi di Genova (University of Genoa), and Università degli Studi dell'Insubria (University of Insubria)—recently adopted the Ex Libris RapidILL™ interlibrary loan system to provide users with fast document delivery services. The universities were able to benefit from the free initiative that Ex Libris offered the library community at the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Ex Libris University of Genoa (Università degli Studi di Genova) chooses Ex Libris Alma service to unify management of resources. Ex Libris announced that Italy’s University of Genoa (Università degli Studi di Genova) has opted to migrate to the Ex Libris Alma library management service to help meet the increasing demand for electronic resources. Integrated with the university’s Primo discovery and delivery solution, including the Primo Central Index, the Alma service will enable the library team to benefit from unified, streamlined workflows. Ex Libris Ex Libris expands its European organization with a wholly owned subsidiary in Italy. Ex Libris announced the opening of Ex Libris Italy—a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company. The opening of this office, part of the continually expanding Ex Libris European organization under the management of Marc Daubach, corporate VP and general manager Europe, follows the Company’s acquisition of Atlantis s.r.l., exclusive distributor of Ex Libris products in Italy and Slovenia since 1989. Liliana Morotti—previously chief operations officer and marketing director at Atlantis--will assume the role of general manager of Ex Libris Italy responsible for sales and marketing in Italy and Slovenia.
