Ex Libris Four Prominent Italian Universities implement Ex Libris RapidILL Interlibrary Loan Services to improve document delivery. Ex Libris, a ProQuest company announced that four prominent Italian universities—the Libera Università di Bolzano (Free University of Bozen-Bolzano), Università degli Studi di Bergamo (University of Bergamo), Università degli Studi di Genova (University of Genoa), and Università degli Studi dell'Insubria (University of Insubria)—recently adopted the Ex Libris RapidILL™ interlibrary loan system to provide users with fast document delivery services. The universities were able to benefit from the free initiative that Ex Libris offered the library community at the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Ex Libris Free University of Bozen/Bolzano goes live with Ex Libris Alma. Ex Libris announced that the Free University of Bozen/Bolzano in Italy is in production with the Ex Libris Alma library management solution. The library adopted the Primo discovery and delivery solution in 2011 to provide users with a unified showcase for all the institution’s collections. Complementing Primo, Alma now consolidates all the library’s back-office operations in a single, cloud-based solution that will lead to substantial improvements in efficiency. [Full Announcement].

Ex Libris Tutte per una, Primo per tutte. La Provincia Autonoma di Bolzano ha scelto Primo di Ex Libris per offrire ai suoi cittadini l'accesso integrato all'intero universo bibliografico delle biblioteche di lingua italiana del territorio attraverso la creazione di un catalogo unico virtuale. Il vasto patrimonio presente nei rispettivi cataloghi della Biblioteca Provinciale Claudia Augusta, della rete cittadina che fa capo alla Biblioteca Civica di Bolzano "Battisti" e del sistema BIS, che aggrega 21 biblioteche pubbliche e 20 scolastiche della Provincia di Bolzano, è infatti accessibile oggi agli utenti da un'unica interfaccia di ricerca. Ex Libris Nine European institutions join the Ex Libris Alma early adopter programme. Ex Libris announce the recent addition of nine European institutions to the early adopter programme for the Ex Libris Alma library management service. Among the early adopters in Europe are the University of York, Lancaster University, the University of East London, the Free University of Bozen/Bolzano, and Plymouth University. Other leading institutions that are joining the programme have chosen to retain confidentiality at this time in view of their migration to Alma from other vendors. [Full Announcement].
