Ex Libris Jackson State University Adopts Ex Libris campusM Mobile App and Portal to Enhance Communications. Ex Libris, a ProQuest company, announced that Jackson State University has selected the Ex Libris campusM mobile app and web portal to replace the university's Ellucian system. campusM will help JSU deliver critical communications and keep students informed of campus news and events in a timely manner. In addition, through the campusM no-code App Manager, the university administration will be able to remind students to carry out various tasks, such as registering, enrolling in classes, and checking grades. ByWater Solutions Penticton Public Library goes live on Aspen and Koha with ByWater support. ByWater Solutions, America's forefront provider of Open Source library technology support, announced that the Penticton Public Library in BC, Canada is now live on Aspen Discovery and Koha with ByWater Support. Follett Follett School Solutions exits the book fair business. Follett School Solutions will be exiting the book fair business, a decision prompted by thousands offair cancellations due to the pandemic. Ex Libris Japan’s National Institute of Informatics Library goes live with Ex Libris Alma library services and Primo Discovery to improve efficiency in accessing academic resources with a centralized system. Ex Libris, a ProQuest company, announced that the Ex Libris Alma library services platform and the Ex Libris Primo discovery solution have gone live at the National Institute of Informatics, in Japan. The Alma platform will support the NII, which is dedicated to the creation of future value in the new field of informatics. [Full Announcement].

ReShare Community GALILEO initiative joins Project ReShare. The inclusion of GALILEO as a new member of Project ReShare dramatically increases the number of institutions affiliated with the project. GALILEO, Georgia's virtual library, is a community of more than 2,000 institutions, including colleges, school districts, and public libraries. . NISO NISO awarded Mellon Funding for controlled digital lending project. The National Information Standards Organizatio announced that it has received a grant of $125,000 from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation to support the development of a consensus framework for implementing controlled digital lending of book content by libraries, which has been approved by NISO members as a new initiative. Lyrasis LYRASIS to expand Open Access Community Investment Program new round of funding opportunities increases engagement in open initiatives. LYRASIS announces the expansion of the Open Access Community Investment Program. Following a successful pilot program, LYRASIS is opening a new round of funding opportunities to support Open Access publishing by scholarly journals. Index Data PALCI and ConnectNY libraries now live on ReShare hosted by Index Data. Earlier this month, library patrons of both the PALCI consortium and ConnectNY started using ReShare Shared Inventory and ReShare Returnables to request the delivery of books between campuses. PALCI was the first consortium to go live and use these next-generation apps to expedite the movement of items between libraries—effectively broadening the base of knowledge available to these students, faculty, and staff. We're still moving full speed ahead on making enhancements to our Aspen Discovery LiDA (Library Discovery App) app. The app is undergoing Beta testing but we're hoping to push to app stores in 2-3 weeks. Ex Libris Ex Libris Library App now live at the University of Amsterdam. Ex Libris, a ProQuest company, announced that the University of Amsterdam is now live with the Ex Libris Library Mobile app, just in time for the new academic year. The Ex Libris Library Mobile app, powered by Ex Libris campusM, will help librarians provide their customers with the seamless user experience that they have come to expect from the retail, banking, and leisure applications that they use daily. The UvA Library will use the app to increase the visibility of library services such as account information, library hours, and study spaces. Boston Library Consortium. Boston Library Consortium to implement controlled digital lending for interlibrary loan. The Boston Library Consortium will implement controlled digital lending as a mechanism for interlibrary loan among its interested member libraries, under a new plan approved by its Board of Directors at their August 2021 meeting. In this resource sharing model, items that traditionally would be loaned physically could instead be digitized and lent digitally under controlled conditions. [Full Announcement].

ReShare Community ConnectNY Launches ReShare Returnables. ConnectNY, a consortium of independent academic institutions in New York State, launched ReShare Returnables on September 1, 2021. Ex Libris New Ex Libris Esploro research portal showcases scholarship and helps users find experts. Ex Libris, a ProQuest company, announced the launch of new research portal capabilities in the Ex Libris Esploro research information management solution. With Esploro, institutions can deploy a fully branded portal that enables researchers, funders, industry stakeholders, and the public to access publications, explore researchers' work, and find scholarly expertise. EBSCO Information Services Eight academic institutions from around the world adopt EBSCO FOLIO’s ERM for electronic resource management. Eight universities in the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States have adopted EBSCO FOLIO ERM from EBSCO Information Services. Library of Congress Library of Congress names New IT leadership. Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden has appointed Judith Conklin as the chief information officer of the Library of Congress and John Rutledge the deputy chief information officer. The two executives will serve as the Library's senior information technology experts, ensuring technology operations are aligned with the Library's strategic plan.
