Follett Start Reading Now Again partners with Follett to help counter Summer Slide, pandemic learning loss. Again this year, nearly 2,750 local young students from predominantly low-income families will be receiving free print books to read over the summer as the result of a continuing charitable effort led by Start Reading Now, a local literacy nonprofit organization, and powered by Follett, an Illinois-based education solutions provider. Amandeep Kochar, executive vice president and general manager of Baker & Taylor, has been named winner of the “Global Leader” category in the 2021 EdTech Awards by EdTech Digest. Follett Follett unveils two new Aspen SIS Modules for supporting students, families remotely. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, schools were faced with many challenges — beyond remote learning to include managing previously in-person paper-based processes as well as monitoring and fulfilling students' social and emotional needs. Follett Remembering David Cully (1952-2021). David Cully, 68, died Sunday (Feb. 14) following a battle with cancer. Cully joined Baker & Taylor, a Follett company, in 2008 and served in several leadership roles before being named President of the business in 2017. Mr. Cully retired from Baker & Taylor in August 2019. He previously held various chief executive and executive president positions at Barnes & Noble, Simon & Schuster, Putnam Berkley Publishing Group and Waldenbooks. [Full Announcement].

Follett Follett Higher Education Group Announces 88% Increase in Ecommerce Sales. Follett Higher Education Group today announced that online orders across Follett's 1,250 ecommerce websites increased by 93% YTD as a result of consumers shifting spending from in-store to online since the early days of the pandemic. Follett announced it has deployed its market-leading Follett Destiny Library Manager and Resource Manager solutions as well as its Aspen Student Information System to Microsoft Azure. Follett Follett, Baker and Taylor Team to Provide Free Access to PreK-12 Interactive Resources for Public Library Partners. As more states extend school closures through the remainder of the school year, Follett and Baker & Taylor today announced they are collaborating to provide its public library partners with free access through June 30 to Lightbox and AV2 World Languages, interactive resources that allow students to independently study and learn. Follett, in partnership with Weigl Publishers, made a free offer in late March to schools worldwide of Lightbox, a PreK-12 interactive ebook platform, and AV2 World Languages, a K-3 ebook program. Follett New York High School captures 2020 Follett Challenge Grand Prize. Mineola High School of Garden City Park, NY was named the Grand Prize winner of the 2020 Follett Challenge. The Nassau County-based school, with an enrollment of 1,026 students, earns $30,000 in Follett products and services and a celebration at their school for its entry, “Empowered Students: Preparing Students for the 4th Industrial Revolution.” [Full Announcement].
