ByWater Solutions Concordia University Texas (CTX) Library goes live on Koha with ByWater Support. ByWater Solutions announced that Concordia University Texas Library in Austin, TX is now live on Koha. ByWater completed the transition of the library's 43,500 plus bibs from Voyager and is providing ongoing support services to the library. [Full Announcement].

Solus Solus mobile Library App now integrated with the Bibliovation Library Services Platform. Solus announced that its mobile Library App product fully integrates with the Bibliovation Library Services Platform. This includes its Content Management System, unique consortium support, patron self-service via both barcode and RFID tagged collections, advanced Click & Collect curbside pickup functionality and support for 24 languages. Kinokuniya Company. NII and Kinokuniya to build a New NACSIS-CAT/ILL System for Digitization of Academic Resources and Provision of World Class Service. Kinokuniya Company was appointed to undertake the project commissioned by National Institute of Informatics Provision of Catalog Information Service and Electronic Resource Management System. NACSIS-CAT/ILL, the catalog information service operated by NII, is currently used by more than 1,300 institutions, mainly university libraries, as a union catalog database comprehensively covering Japanese academic resources. Through the reconstruction and enhancement of NACSIS-CAT/ILL by the cooperation of domestic and international system vendors, Kinokuniya contributes to establishing the academic research infrastructure in Japan which willadvance the digitization of academic resources and the provision of world class service. National Institute of Informatics. Renewal of Academic Information System After 36 Years New Catalog Information Service Corresponding to Digital Resources to Be Introduced from 2022. National Institute of Informatics (NII; Director General: Dr. KITSUREGAWA Masaru, Tokyo, Japan) has begun reconstruction of NACSIS-CAT/ILL, a catalog information service used by more than 1,300 institutions, mainly university libraries. ByWater Solutions Worcester State University Library joins HELM and ByWater Solutions' Koha Support. ByWater Solutions announced that HELM (Higher Education Libraries of Massachusetts), an association of Massachusetts college libraries in public higher education has added Worcester State University Library to their HELM catalog. Admin Kuhn The Erzabtei St. Peter goes live on Koha with Admin Kuhn. Admin Kuhn, a Swiss Koha support company, announced today that the Erzabtei St. Peter in Salzburg, Austria, is now live on Koha. Admin Kuhn completed the transition of the library's 166'000 holdings from Aleph in collaboration with the Ordensgemeinschaften Österreich in Vienna. [Full Announcement].

Ex Libris Japan’s National Institute of Informatics paves the way for Japanese libraries of the future with Ex Libris Alma services. Ex Libris, a ProQuest company, announced that the Ex Libris Alma® library services platform has been selected by the National Institute of Informatics (NII) in Japan, an interuniversity institute that promotes research in information-related areas. The decision was based on strategies defined in the 2019 Vision on Future Scholarly Information Systems, prepared by Japan's Future Scholarly Information Systems Committee under the auspices of the Council for Promoting Collaboration between University Libraries and the National Institute of Informatics. OCLC OCLC to provide new national cataloging platform for libraries in Japan. The National Institute of Informatics (NII) in Japan has selected OCLC to replace NII's current library metadata infrastructure. OCLC will provide a cataloging environment for more than 1,300 libraries in Japan with a union catalog that replaces the existing system, NACSIS-CAT/ILL.The NACSIS-CAT/ILL, launched in 1985, has been widely used among Japanese university libraries and other institutions, bringing together 13 million bibliographic records and 147 million holdings records. A versatile metadata platform developed by OCLC will serve as the foundation for the new NACSIS-CAT/ILL system. [Full Announcement].

EBSCO Information Services EBSCO Information Services releases the EBSCO eBooks Open Access Monograph Collection. EBSCO Information Services is releasing a new e-book collection containing thousands of high-quality open access (OA) e-books from the world's most trusted university presses and scholarly publishers. The EBSCO eBooks Open Access Monograph Collection is DRM-free and available at no cost on the EBSCOhost platform and easily discoverable via EBSCO Discovery Service. [Full Announcement].

New York Public Library. The New York Public Library receives $12.5 million grant From Arcadia Fund for open access project. The New York Public Library has received a $12.5 million grant from Arcadia, a charitable fund of Lisbet Rausing and Library Trustee Peter Baldwin, towards a significant investment in the Library's digital transformation. The grant will support the Library's efforts to improve patrons' ability to discover, request, and access in digital format, a copy of almost any book through its online platform. Since 2013, Arcadia has awarded $19 million to the NYPL for projects that provide open access to research and scholarly materials. [Full Announcement].

NISO Announcing The NISO Board Of Directors For 2021-22. The National Information Standards Organization announced the results of its recent Board elections for the term beginning July 1, 2021. Mary Sauer-Games, Vice President, Product Management, OCLC, Inc, will transition to the role of Chair of the NISO Board, having served as Vice Chair for the past year. She is replaced as Vice Chair by Maria Stanton, Director of Production, Atla, who will assume the role of Chair for 2022-23 next July. Peter Simon, Vice President, Product Management, NewsBank, Inc, rotates to the position of Past Chair, having served as NISO Chair for 2020-21. Recorded Books RBmedia Audiobooks Dominate 2021 Pulitzer Prize Awards. McGraw Hill. Platinum Equity to acquire McGraw Hill from Apollo Funds for $4.5 Billion. Platinum Equity announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire McGraw Hill, a global leader in educational content and digital platforms, from funds (the "Apollo Funds") managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management, Inc. (NYSE: APO) (together with its consolidated subsidiaries, "Apollo") for a purchase price of approximately $4.5 billion. [Full Announcement].

The Library Corporation Leander Public Library and TLC’s Library.Solution: Reunited And It Feels So Good. The Library Corporation continues its busy 2021 schedule with the reimplementation of Library.Solution for Leander Public Library in Leander, Texas. Currently a customer of TLC's AMH and RFID company Tech Logic, LPL will be rejoining the full TLC family again. This will be Leander's first use of Library.Solution since 2011. [Full Announcement].
