OhioLINK adopts Ex Libris Rosetta for digital preservation. Ex Libris announced OhioLINK has selected the Ex Libris Rosetta digital management and preservation solution for 120 academic libraries plus the State Library of Ohio. Rosetta will ensure long-term access to the OhioLINK Electronic Journal Collection, Electronic Book Collection, Electronic Theses and Dissertations Center, and Digital Resource Commons collections. OhioLINK provides discovery layer to improve searches. Member-libraries of Ohio’s academic library consortium will soon have the option of adding another powerful tool to improve searches patrons make for the information they need. The Ohio Library and Information Network (OhioLINK) and its Library Advisory Council selected EBSCO Publishingto provide EBSCO Discovery Service as a shared service to OhioLINK libraries. Ohio libraries achieve new heights in resource sharing. The OhioLINK and SearchOhio consortia have launched a major new initiative that takes their already unprecedented levels of resource-sharing to new heights. The 109 public and academic libraries, representing a combined collection of over 60 million items, have implemented Innovative's new Peer-to-Peer Requesting to bridge their existing INN-Reach systems. Now, a patron from any library can freely request material from both systems. Thanks to the new collaborative program, SearchOhio—a network of 19 public library systems throughout the state—will provide public library users with the ability to borrow academic materials from the 90 OhioLINK members.
