Surpass Software Surpass Software announces special pricing for small libraries on Library Automation software bundle. Surpass Software is bundling Surpass Central with Surpass Safari and offering them at a reduced price to libraries with 5,000 or fewer volumes. The bundle will sell for just $995, so a small library can now have a fully automated system with both circulation and catalog for under $1,000. This represents significant savings over the regular $1,750 cost of these programs. The programs are only limited in the size of the collection they will handle and are otherwise fully functional. Surpass Software recently released Web Safari, the Web-based catalog for users of Surpass library automation software. Surpass Software released Surpass Central 2.0, an upgrade to the core module of the Surpass line of library automation products. New features include special features for Accelerated Reader users, importing student photos from Lifetouch Administrator''s CD, and customized patron fields that can trigger alert tones and dialog boxes. Surpass Central library automation software publishes reports and notices to the worldwide Web. Users of the Surpass library automation suite of applications can now publish reports to the web or save reports in other standard formats. With the release of Surpass Central version 1.07, the core component of Surpass, users will find that all report screens now have an "export" button to choose to save the report in HTML for publishing to the web.
