SAGE Technology from SAGE acquires reading, authoring, and collaboration tool Sciwheel. Technology from SAGE, a division of SAGE Publishing, has acquired Sciwheel, an award-winning tool providing library patrons with an easy way to discover, read, annotate, write, and share research. Founded by Vitek Tracz, the entrepreneur behind the Current Opinion journals, Current Drugs, F1000 and BioMed Central, Sciwheel was created to go beyond traditional reference management by assisting students and researchers throughout the entire writing process. Sciwheel will be integrated with Technology from SAGE's Lean Library, to create a comprehensive academic workflow tool. [Full Announcement].

F1000Research F1000Workspace is now Sciwheel. Since its launch, F1000Workspace has formed a part of the F1000 family, alongside F1000Prime and F1000Research. Armed with our new identity, we hope to share Sciwheel with even more people across the world and continue to enable scientists to collaborate, innovate, and produce research of the highest quality. F1000Research F1000Prime is now Faculty Opinions. When Faculty of 1000 launched in 2002, we were excited to offer a research recommendation service that was curated by the most respected minds across the globe. This was unlike anything else out there and we were delighted to find that the research community took to the concept so quickly. As the product evolved and we brought Biology and Medicine together our Faculty of 1000 became F1000Prime. Following the recent acquisition of F1000Research by Informa Plc, we decided this was the ideal opportunity to rebrand ourselves with a name that reflects our purpose and vision for the future.
