Elsevier launches ScienceDirect AI to transform research with rapid mission-critical insights from trusted content. Elsevier, a global leader in advanced information and decision support, launches ScienceDirect AI, a cutting-edge generative AI tool for researchers. It is designed to transform the way researchers work by enabling them to instantly extract, summarize and compare trusted insights from millions of full-text articles and book chapters on ScienceDirect, the world's largest platform for trusted, peer-reviewed research. Researchers grapple with an ever-growing and overwhelming volume of information and need to quickly get accurate insights they can rely on. Studies show that they spend 25%-35% of their time sifting through literature. ScienceDirect AI helps address this challenge by drawing on the broadest and deepest content set of millions of peer-reviewed full-text research articles and book chapters to generate instant accurate summaries and highlight key findings, while providing references to support the reproducibility and integrity of research. Italian researchers benefit from continued access to Elsevier's ScienceDirect. Elsevier and the Conference of Italian University Rectors (CRUI), announce their agreement to provide access to ScienceDirect, Elsevier's leading platform of peer-reviewed scholarly literature, for universities and research institutions across Italy. Details of the subscription agreement were finalized at the end of June following negotiations held at the end of 2017, extending the current partnership between CRUI and Elsevier for the period 2018-2022. With the 5-year agreement more than 70 Italian universities and research institutions will have access to ScienceDirect, supporting researchers search, discover, read, and share scholarly literature. ScienceDirect entering Early Release phase. Elsevier Science, the world's largest publisher of scientific and medical journals, announces that the Early Release phase of ScienceDirect is scheduled to begin this summer. ScienceDirect is a major new online service to be offered via the World Wide Web. It will offer libraries and their end users desktop access to searchable refereed scientific, technical and medical full text information on a scale much greater than previously available. When complete, content will include nearly 1100 Elsevier Science journals, as well as publications from other participating publishers. [Full Announcement].
