EBSCO Information Services Plum Analytics expands clinical research tracking to include citations in clinical practice guidelines in PubMed. Researchers now have an additional way to see the impact of their work in clinical practice by tracking when their research is cited in clinical practice guidelines. Plum Analytics, an EBSCO company, has expanded its Clinical Citations metrics in its PlumX Suite to include clinical practice guidelines indexed in PubMed. [Full Announcement].

EBSCO Information Services Tomas Bata University takes a modern approach to research metrics with PlumX Dashboards. Tomas Bata University is increasing the visibility of its researchers and providing alternative avenues through which to showcase the University’s research output with PlumX Dashboards. A prominent center of research in the Czech Republic, TBU has paired this research metrics tool from Plum Analytics, an EBSCO Company, with its institutional repository (IR) to create impact dashboards for their research outputs. Plum Analytics is continuing to expand its ability to provide answers about the impact of research with a new data visualization feature. An EBSCO company, Plum Analytics has introduced a new section of analytics into PlumX that moves beyond reporting on big data to provide novel insights. The new analytics feature gives anyone who interacts and uses research key insights into the trends and stories behind the citation, usage, social media and other data PlumX collects from dozens of online sources. EBSCO Information Services ORCID and Plum Analytics work together to maximize information available about scholarly activities. Researchers can now easily connect with their scholarly activities and contribution while also tracking the metrics from their work by using the combination of Open Research and Contributor ID (ORCID) and PlumX, from Plum Analytics, an EBSCO company. The integration of the two services allows all of the metrics from the public work associated with a particular ORCID identifier to be collected when the identifier is added to a PlumX profile. EBSCO Information Services Plum Analytics extends PlumX with enterprise-level security. Plum Analytics announced that its product PlumX, is now Shibboleth-enabled. This will allow those performing, funding or monitoring research to use a single sign-on to access the information about research impact. By allowing single sign-on, Plum Analytics, an EBSCO company, enables users easier access to the alternative metrics it provides from the authentication systems popular in academic institutions and corporate enterprises and ensures that only authorized users update researcher information.
